Again, it has to do with balance. If your shunting capacitor energy to your shields constantly, then you sacrifice being able to fire your weapons.


Let's be realistic, you can't have ideal components that let you fire all the time and take no damage and go faster than everyone else and maneuver better than anything. This just isn't realistic.

The issue isn't what droid programs you need... the issue is that Level 7 crafted capacitors still fail to meet or exceed what has been seen in Level 6 looted capacitors. Whether you think someone needs a capacitor of a given power is irrelevent... we are talking about a shipwright issue, not a pilot issue.



No decay + uber loot = /spit on crafters

Fix the economy and give crafters their $$$ worth... give us real revamp.

Remember... to Cancel you have to go to Register Expansion in the Launchpad.

Your're still not understanding that this particular level 6 loot is exceptional in nature. We can't craft a level 7 reactor that has a generation rate of 26K either; however, I have a friend that just looted one recently. Are you going to cry that the DP should take a pass on reactors as well. And what about the level 8 weapon another friend of mine looted awhile back that has 0.720 effectiveness against both shields and armor. I guess we should be complaining that experimentation on shield/armor effectiveness isn't good enough. Or not! This loot is exceptional, period, end of story.


I'm really happy that DP took a pass at fixing experimentation on capacitors and engines. However, I'm also happy that the DP didn't take it too far--he was very careful about it, so much so it took two patches to set things where they should be--BALANCED! Stop bloody crying about the handful of level 6 caps that have exceptional stats. Inever hear weaponsmiths crying about the fact that Nightsister lances were better than anything they would ever be able to make. Same situation--that loot was exceptional. Get over it. Move on.

Yes, let's get back on track. Crafted caps should outperform loot caps, especially those of lower levels, and not by "The Boy Who Cried Nerf" means. Breakin 40 is not exceptional; I've looted several L6 caps over 40 since ROTW Live in Kashyyk space. Even if they are exeptional for L6, they should be less exceptional for L7 and L9. Exceptional parts come by means of RE. My request: loot<crafted<good-re-job.

Hmm the last week have i looted 4 lvl capacitors with over 40 in recharge and the best of them had 45 in recharge, and allmost all lvl6 caps i loot has 39-43 in recharge. I think a player made lvl7 should beat a lvl4-6 looted capacitor. I know cap overload programs make you able to fire countinous but right now isnt the issue the driod programs it is the lack of quality on player made components, or why should i else buy a player made capacitor when i can kill deathwatch in endor for a couple of hours and prob get a better capacitor.

your mostly forgetting that most PvE pilots want there capacitors to regen under continuous fire for shunt's also part of why they want "needle pegged"


PvP on other hand will take lower mass/regen anyday usually

If WO3 were ever fixed, the need for high-recharge, high-capacity capacitors would be much, much higher.

As a Pilot as well as a SW, I don't think you should be able to keep up a continuous stream of fire indefinitely just so you can use cap shunt. It just makes things too easy and makes you rely less on skilled aiming and maneuvering.


Nerf loot caps and I'll be happy.
