I was grinding out this thing that did 21 xp/per. I didnt realize I could get that much from deeds. Right now the 2 deeds I can make are personal vapour moisturizer and wind power generator............which should I grind?

Typically you get 2X the amount of XP as what the schematic calls for in resources. For example, if you have a schematic that uses 450 resources in total, you get 900 XP for crafting it. Practice mode gives a 5% boost to this.

This isn't always true (crafting BECs for Medics and Docs gives more XP than should be given by this formula) but 99% of the time this works.

And yes, if you're *YAWN*ing now, then a crafting profession may not be your best bet. It takes a lot of work to gather resources, craft items, build a clientele, etc. Yeah, the grind can be boring, and if that's what you were yawning about then I understand. But you can make it fun along the way. A lot of ppl are able to make good sales without being a Master crafter, you just have to find the right products to sell and the right customers. If you're really serious about selling items and not just crafting, I would pick up the Business line of Artisan, and maybe some Merchant.

Good luck!

To the orginal poster, 30K general crafting xp is nothing. Any elite crafting profession is going to require a lot of grinding, though shipwright is actually one of the easier ones if you have all the resources already handy.
