Thread: POB Firespray??
Hmm if i read this right should a firespray also got 2 turrets and 1 cannon in the front the front gun is standard a tractorbeam and the turret guns are blaster cannons those changes and make it pob would make it a more combat capable POB then the YT, Nova or deciminator and it gets a purpoose. 1 gun for the pilto and 2 guns for the passangers/crew.
ps i stole the facts of weapon emplacements from the pen and paper D20 rpg.

So as you can see YES the Firespray should be a PoB ship. It is not a Starfighter but a Transport just like the YT-1300 and darn near the same size.
yea its pretty close to the same size. I have the Fine Molds model in the box waiting on me to finish adding battle damage to the millenium falcon model. They are both 1/72nd scale and the slave1 is damn near the same size. For those of you not familiar with Fine Molds they are out of japan, you can get their product from hobbylink japan http://www.hlj.com. Unlike the AMT/ERTL crap released here that bears little to no resemblance to accuracy, Fine Molds actually gets to go to Skywalker Ranch and take several hundred pictures of the actual models made by industrial light and magic, so the accuracy is astonishing.

Yes but the stats on an unmodified firespray shows it has 2 blaster cannons in turrets that is 2 separate turrets and it also has a tractorbeam in forward gun emplecements and that is where the 2 guns on it in game are now. The turrets are in the bottom if the firespray is standing up in normal flight patern.

Not having much experience with the Firespray, I consulted my ship database and low-and-behold it does have two turrets. So, let me think about this a bit...
...If I remember back a year ago when I was beta testing JTL, the Firespray was something promised to us by Thunderheart. However, just before JTL went live, Thunderheart indicated that he wanted to do something special with the Firespray. This "surprise" turned out to be the disk drops from RE'ing. We didn't have the Firespray to play with in beta (to my recollection). However, it showed up as a surprise. Leads me to believe that it was one of those last minute stretch goals, which means that making the Firespray a POB was tossed just so that we could have it at all.

I'd say give it an experimental mass range of say 750k-1mil to allow 2-3 POB parts but not a full complement

I'd say leave everything on it alone, just give it an interior (be it a smaller one than the other POB ships), and the ability to do repairs from inside the ship via access panels.
