Thread: Proposal for FS Conversion

A minor point compared to the rest, but they'd almost have to give us factories before allowing FS conversion. I'm pretty sure every SW could hit the xp cap way quicker than any other profession just because we're forced to hand-craft everything.

I agree on SW getting conversion.

I don't totally agree on the "farming" issue with pilot, however. As a master pilot with a well-equipped KSE Firespray, I can get about 1 million XP in about 1 1/2 hours (Black Sun duty or otherwise).

Compare that to any other elite combat prof: With Master PIKE, I can get 900k weapons XP (Plus 90k combat) in the same time frame without risking decay of high end, hard to obtain parts. I do this without armor, so no decay there, with some cost from stims.

This means that I can generate ground XP at twice the rate that I can grind in space. I don't see the "farming" issue.

I DO see the possible logic in the "doesn't take skill points" argument, but the argument about it being too fast doesn't really hold when one looks at the speed.

I see a few ideas as a way to solve this....

1. Allow SW's to convert FS xp at a similar conversion rate in line with all other professions so as to make it fair for everyone and keep it balanced, be it 30:1 or 300:1.

2. Since Shipwright is a ground-based profession 100%, it's the reason why it costs skill points. Therefore if #1 doesn't apply, then remove the skill points cost so that we can free up 63 skill points to use in a profession that DOES count. Why does force experimentation work in SW if you can't convert xp? Makes no sense.

3. Disable JTL for Jedi's, since if they want to keep ground and space separate, and seeing as how Jedi is a 100% ground based profession, that wayJedi's have noway togo into space to avoid Bounty Hunters when their name gets on the terms.

If they don't do any of that stuff, then the current game is a farce, much like Ultima Online that was destroyed by the current people who are running SWG now. Why did they follow me here? Get out!
