If you don't have patience then you shouldn't be a crafter. It just seems to me that the general mindset of a crafter is motivated by profit, not speed. Whats the rush to master in 30 minutes versus let's say ( on the extreme side to prove a point ) taking 2 days and experimenting every single chassis to the max? You don't have the resources to make anything good this early in your career anyways so you might as well make some of your money back, right?

I've spent roughly 10 months saving up loot for the ultimate fighter...and you're trying to indict me on my lack of PATIENCE?

I'm going MSW mostly for the REing. Over time I'll collect resources. My whole STRATEGY is patience. Also, I only bought my iron, petro, and fiberplast. All the rest I mined myself, the only thing holding me back is waiting out Stagoiam on Eclipse. It's REALLY crappy steel, but seeing as I've got 12 BER13s on a 91-93% spot, I don't think I'll be wanting for grind materials.

What are you talking about?? Your statement was "some people have more money then patience" and this was my reply. First off, I didnt direct my answer to you...i merely quoted you so people would have an idea of what I was talking about. Also even though I didnt quote you...you certainly must understand how someone would think that YOU have more money than patience just by you making that comment. Why even make a comment like that if you dont practice what your speaking of? Knowing now that you are so patient and arent using this method I can only assume that you meant to insult others through your childlike use of sarcasm. Which makes it even more funny that you would jump down someone elses throat for thinking they were picking on you back. Grow up...lighten up....one of the two bro, just in the process drop the attitude and come to grips that not everyone thinks/cares/gives a hoot about you or what you do.

This guy put together a very helpful post with some useful information but I disagreed with the whole do it in 15 minutes theory, thats all. The last thing you want is for a noob player to spend all his time/credits on slamming out these chassis in a half hour and then looking back and saying "darn, I shoulda made some stuff I could sell."

Many beginning crafters are looking for merchant exp as well and selling these chassis at reduced prices are a great way to get your name known and get people in your shop for the first time, while collecting valuable merchant exp. Even if you sell them at 2k each thats over 200k you could reinvest. Not everyone has a second account with a BH/MCM alt that makes 2 million an hour selling killa loot. (even though I do )

To the thread creator, please don't take what I said in my original post as negative criticism. You did a great job and I merely wanted to add my 2 cents. Expressing your opinion is what forums were about and I didn't mean to offend.

Not everyone who takes up Shipwright is a newbie. It's not like the only ones who start the profession are in their first week of play. My account has been active for about a year and a half. Being a MBH, I do make plenty of throw away cash. Grinding out Shipwright, and not selling the ships I make in the grind means nothing to me. I rather just do it in practice mode, and be done with it.

From what I have seen, starting a profession is a just a grind. There are hardly any professions at all that can be taken slowly, and played with in the process. Shipwright can be one, but it's not very cost effective. The only thing non Master Shipwrights can really sell are chassis, since experimenting doesn't make a drastic difference. However, if you spent your time making other things in the profession, it would be hard to sell for the fact that Master's can make far better. Such as guns, reactors, and engines. So I say that if you have the cash, and you just wantto hurry up and make Master so you can compete with the big guys, then go for it. This guide was made for you.

One more thing. Anyone who feels they need to watch how much they spend grinding Shipwright shouldn't be one in the first place. Shipwright is very costly.

Exactly.

Shipwrights are in it for the express purpose that they have a NEED to be. I am a SW simply because I like RE'ing, crafting and reating for myself. If I make cash along the way, so be it.

Outstanding guide. However, you should add "For between 10-15 million credits" to the titlelol.

Ha, cool, short, to the point, and very quick. I'll be using this once I make my crafting toon.

You could do it a LOT cheaper. Go out, get some recyclers, then buy up all the 1cpu resources you can find

This is more painful than it seems, hehe. Once you hit A-Wings the resources per craft make you want to cry.
