Yeah, the Y-8 has such a great interior, and its such a shame that we can't decorate it properly do to the /move up/down bug. Hopefully it will get fixed inPub 24, too.


Also, SWG-Goliath, if you're reading this, could you look into getting the item limit increased for the Y-8? 100 items is barely enough to decorate a Decimator, YT-1300, or Nova. The Y-8 has too big of interior to decorate properly with only 100 items. See if you can get it pushed up to 150 or ever 200 items. Also more high-tech looking furniture items would be nice, too, like more data terminals, and computer banks, and couches and chairs that look like they belong in a space ship.

And you are probably right about the Y8 quest - can't fault your logic there



At fan fest they specificallysaid it was part of the next upcomming expansion. So logically it will be part of it. Sounds like they are just playing the "marketting suspense game". You know, how they slowly trickle info too you over the next few months untill it comes out, teasing you each time with new juicy bits. Typical marketting strategy.

They specifically said the NEXT expansion, to be realeased sometime around nov. dec. Just because mustafar doesnt have a space zone doesnt mean they arent in it. their are plenty of other zones out there, infact the zone they showed them in looked like naboo space.


If The stuff in that clip from fanfest isnt going to be in this expansion a DEV had better say so and clear it up now, otherwise there might be ALOT of angry fans.

That's excellent news!

But the fix will come to Live about 4 month after the release of Rage of the Wookiees. I really don't understand why it is so.

As I understand it, you were the one who coded the Y-8. Are you the only one who could fix those bugs? What were you doing during those 4 months? Working on Trials of Obi-Wan? Why were you put on TOW while there were still bugs in the things you've coded?

Why this major quest hasn't been fixed before? Was it because the only person (you) who could fix it wasn't in the Live Team, or because some fool made a low priority on that bug? (a major bug like this can't be treated as low priority, except by some fool)


So manyquestions which need so many answers, so we can try to understand why things go that slow with SWG...

the issue, put an end to it. You will be able to move things up
and down in your Y-8 in Pub. 24. Sorry it took so long to get to
this issue and put it to rest.

Excellent. At the rate you're going you could have all the major space related bugs fixed by the time the new expansion comes out. If you want to make Pub 24have a lot ofPOB-centric fixes and upgrades. Here's a few otherideas that would help out...


1. Fix the bug that causes your ship's pitch and yaw controls to invert and then temporily stop whenever you disenagage your ship's booster. The bug seems to occur during the period when you have just disengaged the booster, but the ship has not yet decelerated back down to its normal, non-boosted top speed. This bug effects POB ships the most since they have the slowest deceleration of any ship. The other half of this bug is that for some reason if this deceleration period lasts too long, the game just stops your ship completely and puts you back down to 0 speed, which sort of defeats the whole purpose of having used the booster in the first place.


2. Change the fire pattern on the turrets on POB ships. The turrets appear to have four barrels, but their fire pattern is so tight that for most guns it looks like just a single blaster bolt going out. Spread the four bolts out a bit and it will make it a tad easier for gunners to actually hit something.


3. Improve the deceleration stats for POB ships. Right now all the POB ships decelerate at a rediculously slow rate. This makes them extremely difficult to use effectively in both PvE and PvP. Even with an amazing reverse-engineered engine its impossible to fly a POB ship in the way they are protrayed in the movies because you can't decelerate down to optimum turning speed in any sort of reasonable amount of time.


4. Give the YT-1300 its missing third ordinance slot. The YT-1300 has all the same stats as the Nova and Decimator, but for some reason it was given one less missile tube. If it was a demand from Lucasarts that the YT-1300 only have two missile tubes, than make up for it in some other area, such as say giving it a slightly higher speed mod.


5. Increase the number of items you're allowed to have in the Y-8. I'd say 200 would be perfect.



If all the above fixes went in in Pub 24 then I think you'd seestart to see a ton ofpeople flying POB ships in space.

Sadly no comment on the Y-8, sounds good changes. However due to the bugged nature of the mission to get them, I can't get one .
