Thats really not what I would call logical. Cutting off your nose to spite your face is not logical is a little sad really.

Look there are plenty of good templates that can handle a TKA. Why do you think causing people to think you dont know the game helps you at all.

Actually its a result of hurt egos, thats why most of the nerf posts pop up.

They can't handle that they died.

And instead of galvanizing them into thinking how can I get better, they start thinking of how they can nerf the other class.

Does anyone else feel like some of the community thinks that we are here to deliver them the best parts possible for little or no profit, or even a loss?

What is it about Shipwrights that people feel the need to cry about uber loot not being 100% drop, therby removing us from the game apart from chassis builders and missile vendors (and we all know how much people whine about pricing on that)?

What is it about shipwrights that people feel the need to moan about our prices, when cpu wise I think we are the cheapest profession in the game?

I do not get this in game off my customers, but i come here to discuss stuff and read stuff like this posted in our forum all the time.

"We want 100% uber loot drop"
"We want no decay"
"We want better weapons made cheaper"
"Shipwrights are gougers"
"Shipwrights need factorys to make stuff cheaper"

Honestly, I dont see people moaning at armorsmiths about their prices, I dont see people moaning at archtects about theirs. I am not even going to get started about the gravy train docs have had.

LEAVE US ALONE!!!! I think 90% of us are honest, as cheap as possible, and trying our hardest to keep you guys in good equipment and ships, so quit asking for more nerfs to us to make you better off/more uber. In case you had not realised, we have real bugs, balance, and other issues that need fixing ahead of your own selfish agendas.

To all those that support us (and I know there is a lot of you out there) I appologise in advance for this, but like the title says I am...

Flame LOL

Do what I did. I pulled all my vendors other then 1 droid commands, and 1 paint/texture vendor. But leave nice crafted parts on the floor from time to time. When players ask just tell them "I don't sell anymore, no sorry I can't craft that for you." Explain to them how you were treated. Then really say NO.

I figured what the heck. And just stopped selling to players period. I pick who and when I want to help PERIOD. No more wining, no more players promising to help with loot and don't. And I am a happy man.

If a majority of the SW stop selling becaue they realize that DEv's started to make Pilot an expensive profession (high-resource requirments) then seem to back out and we end up with the short end of the stick. SOMETHING will happen. No clue what, but something will

Like I said, I don't have a problem in game, this is a stab at those here on the forums that talk *%&$!

Although saying that, a general strike is'nt a bad idea....I can see the virtual picket lines forming now

Hey Chi, I am not trying to organize anything like that, just offering up what made me a happy shipwright LOL. I was misserable when trying to sell 1 darn thing to players. Now that I only help out who I choose, and when I want,I have:

  1. Made more money in space/ground

  2. Have a HUGE sotck of great resources

  3. Have more fun

  4. Can spend less time playing grind and more time having fun

  5. Can make myself 45 reactors one day to find the perfect combination of experimentation and sub-components, delete 90% of them, and feel good about it

And because it fits this morning

Idont think that's such a good idea. All the devs will do is make more loot drops because shipwrights aren't providing enough product to supply the community. And the one guy who is selling is going to charge 2 million credits for a ship and make a killing while everyone else is on strike. In a game like this they will always do what is in the best interest of the majority of players.

There are a lot of problems with the shipwright profession, because it was thrown in with JTL so that people could provide the stuff pilots needed. It was never conceptualized as a true profession, in the ground game sense of things. It was an afterthought to add it to JTL, and that's how the devs see it, as a part of JTL not the ground game. To them it is simply a way to make the space game work. This is unfortunate in my opinion because it has a lot of potential.

And since JTL and shipwright are still so new, they also do not see them as critical parts of the economy. As little thought was put into this profession when they were designing it, I don't think they are going to want to make big sweeping changes to it anytime soon. Frankly I think they would probably just get rid of the profession before they did anything to it that actually required too much work on their part.

I like the idea of going on strike. Or, we could go with the AS methode, raise our prices really high. starting with 50cpu. No where are we forcing anyone to buy from us, they got usable loot, oh, and charge 100k per level for RE.

Watch them scream and yell that we are killing them on prices and we can inturn say, you have your loot drops. oh, i see the flames now.

Ok, i got a bit of a mean streak in me.

The fact that people are taking the "strike" idea (semi)seriously at all shows how fed up we ALL are with having to listen to some Pilots piss and moan.

Me, I'd just like to see a little more thought go into the relationship between Pilots and Shipwrights... because as of now it's largely an antagonistic one and that doesn't make for good business.

if you are forced to sell your stuff too cheaply then thank your fellow SW's for caving and providing it thereby enforcing the publics idea that some of you are too expensive.

if ya'll stuck to your guns and charged what is appropriate then they would have no good choice other than to buy what you provide at the marked price.

it seems to me that the dev's wanted JTL to be an upper end function of the game pricewise but instead, SW's are choosing to sell at 1cpu at times.
