My current pricing for your info;
Selling deeds at
Light Ties for 25k
Ties for 45k
Tie/In for 150k
Components are;
5k mk1
10k mk2
30k mk3
Subcomponents I add 50% markup or so
Buying loot components for 1k per tier. Selling retro engineered for 10k per tier.
I use good to excellent resources for all my stuff so have no worries about selling them. Also I actually experiment each one rather than macro them. Biggest hurdle is resources at moment.
Have a small store on Farstar, Tatooine,Mos Lowlands, Just south of Shuttle port. 'Verniers Ship and Droid store'.
Any advice on getting consistent good experimentation? I am not a crafter by nature, but I am enjoying this profession.
Use top crafting tools and stations in a Research City. Eat cake to provide crafting bonus on big ships.
Thanks!

I sold off all my grinding by-product at 1.5 cpu just to get it out the door, and get people excited. Also gave away quite a few schematics just for the hell of it.
Now that the grind is over and my grind stock is virtually gone,I have gone to a 5cpu pricing system for chassis. My components vary from 5-15cpu, all depends on the item and what it requires... I'm not making Tier 1 parts, I tell the customer to just go get the free ship and grind it out, only takes like half an hour to an hour to do. Right now stocking Tier 2 and Tier 3 parts... which range in price from 3500 - 25k. Paint kits 2k, texture kits 1k... crate of 5 proton I missile packs for 6k, crate of 5 siesmic I packs for 12500.
Pretty much my pricing model so far.

simple answer: you bet I am. the 1/0/0/0 level ships are selling faster than I can grind them. Of course, I grinded a lot of the larger ships to get moving faster and those aren't selling as fast. But yes, I have only practiced on 3 ships, and that was because I was inches away from master shipwright and almost out of resources...

I sold out of all my grind stuff, I mastered yesterday. The resources were pretty good. I couldnt keep my vendor stocked. then I hand crafted a lot at master and still cant keep it stocked. for components i charge lvl 1-2 5k, 3-5k 8k, lvl 6 and up 10k.

Probably 50/50. Put some up on my vendor, keep grinding, practiced the ones with bad experimentation, built those with great/amazings. As things started selling I built more of those to keep a reasonable stock on hand. Figure I sold 40 or so Chassis first day or so. Mostly Tier 1 Y-Wings and Dunelizards. Few people stocked up on a Z95 through Longprobe on one trip. I've been pricing from 5-3 cpu depending on resources and experimentation outcomes.
