Welcome to conspiracy theory 101.

I don't want to rain on anyones parade here but as an active slicer for well over a year now trust in 1 fact only. If the devs state that it is random then it is random. There will be no change no matter what you do. The outcome you get will be the out come you get even if you manage to stand on your head while downing a brandy half the time.

now that being said how many of you shipwrights have completed the luck line or the repair line of the force sensitive stuff?

hehe

Can you figure out what prof unlocks my Jedi with this method?

Deja Vu all over again.

In method 2, when you loaded to a new city, how were you able to carry 900 pieces of space loot with you? The most I can carry, with 5 storage droids and a backpack, is 160 items. Just curious.

I pulled off the bazaars as I went. Each city I would hit a bazaar and pulled 100 L1 loots. Coronet, Theed, and Mos Eisley have literally tons of L1 loot on their bazaars.

This is most likely an insignificant sample size to determine anything from. The results you have gotten are possible even with a truely random number, or it would not be random.

Which is why I am testing it again. The biggest problem is getting the loot. Paying for it is very costly. Average is about 1k credits per piece. So 2700 pieces you can see isnt cheap. If I had 9k pieces of loot all at once I could test it seriously and give a better view. But I am limited in the testing. Takes me time to get things set up where I can test it.

My overall plan is to test it 3 times the way I did above. By then I am sure the numbers will be more significant to see if its right or wrong. I mean logic wouldsupport itsince crafters can zero their rolls if there is justone generator. But this game is anything but logical.

And I am hoping others will decide to test it as well. I wouldnt mind being disproved or proved if others tested it.

Its just weird man. I cant explain it. While hunting NPCs and mobs I never felt there was something more to it. While slicing I never felt there was anything to it more then randomness. But when I RE its like I can almostsee the code being generated. Really strange. Dont know if you can understand that. Its just a feeling. And I want to see if my feelings are right or wrong. It could be that FS Luck IV does affect it and that is what I am feeling. It could be a bug too. I dont know. But I want to find out.

Statistically insignificant. Increase your sample size, and do the same experiment 20 more times, and I might begin to believe you have something meaningful. The fact is, you simply cant conclude anything with any degree of certainty from such a small sample.

Its really odd, but I guess I'm just lucky, between me and my partner we have RE'd a lot of loot, we have completed 1 full set and made the Chassis, we are 3 disks away from another full set and 5 disks away from a 3rd complete set. Disk 6/8 is the one disk we seem to get the most of, having 4 or them currently sitting in our little loot box, and having had 5 in total.

I have founf just sitting in front of the bazaar buying every loot item and RE'ing them works well and picked up 5 disks yesterday just doing this.

Ah, okay. Rats, I was hoping maybe there was some method I was missing. It'd be really handy to be able to carry around 900 items on me.

Some interesting results, I may give your method 2 a try and see what happens, most of the loot I've RE'd so far has been in a static location, but possible there just arent enough results here to really prove any theories.

I have managed to put together 3 KSE Firespray Schematics. I have about 24 extra disks as well - oddly enough the big number for me is 8/8 of which I have SEVEN.

I have tried a variety of things, moving from city to city, various levels of loot in bunches, trying to carry the other disks I have in order to "provoke" the right disk appearing, having no disks in inventory at all.

One thing I have found:It sure seems random to me!

I have had stretches of 100 RE's without seeing a disk and I have actually gotten disks on back to back RE's (once). They sure do feel like they come in clumps... but of course, you never really know.

I have no reason to believe there is any sort of "weighted" system in place with any disks being any more popular or that there are things you can do to alter the frequency of disk appearance beyond it all being entirely random.

As the other smuggler has stated: This is very similar to slicing.

Over many long and drawn out debates the smuggler community has determined that slicing is completely random. Nothing you can do will effect the outcome (including the chicken dance).

Ok alot know I am trying to nail something down with the finding of disks. The consensus is that I am a moron and the finding of disks is totally and completely random.

I thought that this part had already been proven.
