Its maneuverability is about the same as an Oppressor yet the Oppressor has a whopping 3 ord slots (yeah they have 1 less projectile slot but i'd rather 2 ord slots over 1 projectile just to be a more effective bomber against stuff like the Corvette on vette runs.

Now im not saying ADD another ship. but maybe modify an existing one to be a more effective bomber.

If you think about it semi-logically, there's no point for a free-lancer to have a bomber-style starship. Rebs and Imps have ships designed for massive fleet battles, taking out cap ships and the like, so they have a necessity for heavy bombers. Freelancers generally work for small private fighter fleets or planetary defense (CorSec) outfits, they don't really go out to take out capital ships or planetary bombardment (Which thankfully isn't in this game...) I dunno, I guess from an RPG standpoint it follows that a privateer ship would be designed for speed and defenses, not for ordinance. Hence the Millennium Falcon having only two small turret guns and a conc launcher, but some of the fastest engines in the galaxy and shields out the arse.

as of last night, the devs removed the schematic from the SW's, the cert from the pilots, and the ship from the game.

we're hoping they did this just to fix it (floating guns, no droid/flight computer load, etc). there were some problems.

Not necissarily. There's more to a ship then just it's weapons loadout. The devs may give it better speed/acc/dec and/or ypr then the bwing. If then new ship has equal ypr and speed to the rih, then the new ship will be awsome.






It may have better speed/acc/dec modifiers, thats a nice tradeoff I can live with. But if we end up with a .8 speed modified ship it won't seem very fair to me. Another poster mentioned that 'Freelancers' don't need heavy bombers in SW lore.... Yea I can agree with the statement, but not the reality. The majority of us Privateers are still participating in Vette runs (heck we have to do one ourselves to Master) so it would be nice to have a dual missile ship.


Maybe having a new type of weapon slot where it took either a Projectile or Ordnance - pilot's hoice would be a compromise.


We already get shafted with the YT and it's 2 Ordnance slots compared to the Faction MP's - do we always need to be second class pilots?


It's bad enough that the Rebels can get 100% repairs when bounced out of Kessel at Dant station (do the repair supply mission there for 100% repairs instead of 75%) and we (freelance) can't at the Dath station as the mission does not exists there. We're already given fewer privelages, how much less should we stand for?

actually mine reappeared last night (bout 10pm est last night when i hadda get off real quick then log back on) / this morning after logging off then logging back on last night.
seems it was just hiccup in the server yesterday

and yes the floating guns were fixed and so was the droid

I wouldn't panic yet The devs have done things like this in the past when adding in things like new weapons, wookiee armor, etc.

We are still witing to get the FULL stats on this new ship (mass, YPR, etc). Im monitoring 4 seperate threads on this and not a single TC person has posted this data yet. Not that its their duty to do so, lol, we are all just very eager to know how this tank compares to the other ships is all. If anyone out there can post this info it would be awesome! =)
