That's right. I had been crafting chassi and getting readt to make the grand opening of my store. Now 1/2 of my stock is worthless because already crafted deeds did not get upgraded today. This is bunk, I nearly went broke setting myself up to be a shipwright and now I've just lost millions of credits of inventory. Is there going to be a trade in for the old deeds to get updated ones. There should be but i doubt it.

I really do feel for you man, I'm not a SW just an Imp Ace already with a pre-patch Oppressor but what you must be going through is far worse.
Great way of alienating even more customers from this game, devs. Really appreciate it.

It has been known for at least a week that there were no retroactive changes.
Sorry :/

most of my chassi were made before they announced. I only made 2 more after the announcement but before I read it. What about the rest of my chassi? They should be upgradeable.

Would be nice if you could, but it won't happen.
Simplest thing they could do is apply it on Re-Deed and punch up the old deeds by 15% or so.

There have been 2 seperate posts from devs that stated their will absolutely will not be retroactive changes done to pre-existing chasis. I feel for ya to bud. You can still move em tho, just put 'sane' prices on them and im sure you can get yer per CPU cash back and then some. This is the name of the game with big buisness crafting in SWG tho. its always a gamble (much like in real life). It could of just as easily went the other way and they could of degraded some chasis which would of made yours priceless.

Ya, sell them at a discount, like 50% off. They WILL fly of the shelves. And you get your money back and a little profit

Think of it as an opportunity to sell to all the people who already have deeds.
This is an MMO and things change. Yes it sucks if you only built privateer chassis, and don't have enough rebel ones to possible absorb the cost.
This type of thing has happened several times in the past. Architects got hammered twice. BER changes on harvestros increased twice.
You can look at it as a chance to sell new chassis to folks, or you can look at it as a loss of old chassis. However, I haven't been selling many chassis at all, and now there will be some demand for a short period of time.
Just be glad you weren't a pilot who spent 15 million on a pre-patch firespray.

yeah actually I'm kinda in the same boat.... however a large portion of my stock was premade before the announcement... Now I have roughly 100 ships that are outdates... Guess I'll just have to throw out a big sale .

That sucks
These changes have been in the works for at least a week, not too obvious though if your not checking the 'In testing' thread regularly
I stopped making chassis for my vendor when I heard about the changes, now any old chassis I've dropped in price and put a load more new stuff up as well. There arent that many that changed in mass, although most of the privateer ships have.

It would be imposible for them to do a retroactive one.
They do not store the mateirals used and what experimitation the item got.
For every thing that is bad for us not being retroactive there is a good thing, like the spacebomb II launchers. Alot of people are really really happy that change was not retroactive. Now they have an item that can sell for 3-10 times what it was worth before! And you got ships that are worth 2-3 times less.

This has been said and refuted a lot. The materials and experimentation are irrelevant. The ONLY thing they would need to look at is the percentage of mass the ship has compared to the old max.
X = old mass / old mass max
New mass = new mass max * X
Pretty simple if you ask me.
