Thread: What to charge for RE'd items?
I get a lot of questions such as "why are you charging so much?" The reason is that I buy parts at the same price that the chassis dealer will offer. Some potential customers don't understand that RE'ing eats (level) parts and returns only one. Once they get this, they are suprised I sell them for 0 profit until I also explain the source of firespray schematics

If you *really* want to price things correctly and take your shipwright profession seriously, you should become a pilot if only to understand your customers better.

I am a 3-4-4-4 Freelance pilot, and an Ace Rebel Pilot on an Alt account. I'm also a new merchant. Every item you listed in your post I have sitting in a pack already RE'd. Honestly, I never would have considered selling for those prices you listed. Not that I think you're wrong, just that I never thought people would pay those numbers, since I seem to get a lot of loot at that level.
I have several L2 capacitors with near 40 recharge and close to 1000 energy. I know those are nice, but I wondered what they might sell for. (Still bothers me that crafted components aren't better).

I don't charge any thing to RE bits but glady accept some low lvl junk to re, as most people seem to want to pay me something for my time.
You misunderstand...
To do an RE job for someone who brings me the stuff, I charge nothing.
The stuff I collect myself and RE into decent equipment, I charge for...
hmm fell into wrong thread somehow...
