When exactly does a weapon refire rate get rounded. I know a .254 crafted blaster rounds to .250. This is the same for looted blasters. I have two REed level 8's with .370. I believe they round when you take them out of your ship after use, but I am not sure.
My question is that if a weapon that is looted for a re is originally .334 would it help the RE to use it and get it rounded down to .330 first?
.434 x .94 = .408 which will round to .410
.430 x .94 = .404 which will round to .400
Do you guys see where I am going with this? If it calculates the exact values when REing then I think we should all be using our guns before we RE them if their refire is under .xx4 so it will round down to the lower tenth of a second.
I'm going to try and do some testing with this and see how it comes out and I'll let you guys know.

Yup. Put the .314 refire lvl 10 in your ship before ya re, log out for about a half hour, come back and WALA!! .310 refire to RE with giving you a .290 (.2914 rounded down) refire instead of the lesser .300 (.29516 rounded up). Gotta love it ![]()

AHHH, but in the Shipwright profession, we call that REPing. Reverse Engineering Preparation

Too bad this doesn't work for engines.
Turn a 73.9 L8 into a 74.0.

Hrm...putting stuff into a ship to get superiour stats and then taking them out and RE'ing them sounds familiar...Oh yeah..the sheilds exploit.

well i dont think this is an exploit, just a helpful thing when REing guns, it will hurt you if your gun is .xx5-.xx9 before the RE, so it goes both ways. Therse no way to stop a gun from rounding up or down.

To be honest, if the dang thing didn't round it down AFTER the re job I first did, I would never have thought of it doing it before REing. It's the games fault I know about it.
That being said, if a dev states publicly that it is an exploit, I won't do it any longer.
I discovered how to create the shields, but I will not do that since it is an exploit.

It's not like you can half the refire or double the vs ratings like the shield exploit did for f/b strength.
