Thread: SHIPWRIGHTS! According to TC Players, Mass Change is NOT Retroactive!!!
I come to you with very bad news. Bad news for your sales, bad news for your customers, and especially bad news for the existing craft which you have made, which will soon be worth LESS than the 2 CPU many shipwrights convince customers they are worth. I have asked the question to the Test Center audience, and they have informed me that this change to Starship Mass is NOT Retroactive. Meaning that we will have to re-craft, and re-list every ship that has been changed that is on our Vendors. Also leaving us with no choice but to delete, or insanely undercut the price on the Ixiyen, the Dunelizard, the Kihraxz, and the Kimogilas that we are currently selling from our Vendors.
We REALLY need to make some noise on this, as this will make an otherwise enjoyable profession HELL as customers who have bought things like Ixiyens and Firesprays will turn on us like villians for not somehow providing them with these updated craft from the start. I just sold THREE Firesprays, and the new Mass values will not be updated for them... meaning those three people just wasted Twelve Million credits a piece on craft that will NOT be the best Starfighter once this patch goes live.
This can't be allowed to go to the live servers, it will damage the Shipwright Profession beyond how the undercutting grinders already have!
As a master privateer pilot I'm almost forced to use the firespray to enjoy using the component levels that I qualify for. Hopefully they bring the rihkxyrk up to the level the firespray is currently (or at least make it 150-160k instead of 130).
While I certainly won't be angry at you Kyrin I will certainly be disappointed in the dev's decision.

i really dont think its a big deal..there not increasing mass that much...no worries.
20,000 Mass isn't a big difference? Are you stoned?
i'm not saying its not a differnece..its not a big deal..because the current ones are still valuable..get a grip.
they aren't going to *poof* are they?
And many of us who have purchased the Firejet bought it simply because it had the highest mass. If we had known that we could have gotten a 200k craft 10 days later we would not have spent 12 million on what we thought to be the best ship some of us could pilot.
As it is, my 12 mil firespray will most likely be redeeded never to get used again if they do not retroactively increase the mass.. I will probably switch back to a rihkxyrk.

I don't know what you're smoking, or for that matter what game you're playing, where 20,000 Mass difference isn't a big deal. If you're Polly Pilot, and you're just now able to use your Dunelizard for the first time, being able to load 20,000 more Mass worth of items is a huge deal when compared to not being able to. So the difference between a pre-nerf Dunelizard with 20k less Mass, and the new Dunelizard with the higher mass is the difference between using all level 5 parts and not being able to upgrade your equipment at all.
Are you planning to charge the same amount for the new as the old?

I provide a service as a Shipwright. I build Starships. When I put my name on something, I work hard to ensure that whoever buys that craft, enjoys it and I support their future component upgrades and tweaks to ensure they have the highest level of satisfaction possible. If a craft I made for you, suddenly is less than it could be, whether its my doing or not, I feel personally resposible.
I truly hope the Devs will change this, so that the service I have provided up till this point will have not been just a "test" prior to the "real" mass values.
The Oppressor and the Firespray, on top of most Privateer Ships, are slated for this change. Rebels are already deemed to have enough mass.

And the resources we wasted stocking the current ships on our vendors?
