So true. On Corbantis Abiso carbonite steel was the best OQ+Cond steel. It's an ancient spawn and has sold for hundreds of cpu in auctions. Then last week we got a new spawn of Arveshim: 880-ish OQ, 660-ish conductivity. This stuff blows Abiso away--and it's only a so-so spawn. Can't wait for a 900+/900+ spawn of this stuff.

Most steel has conductivity capped around 600, but Arveshim has no conductivity cap. This makes it useful for components that require high conductivity resources. Also great for weaponsmiths.

Indeed now if we could just get a decent spawn over here on Starsider. Also, anyone know that shifting ratio for SW resources, the first shift took quite awhile to actually move on out, are they on a different system?

Hardened Arveshium steel was used in ships. In beta conductivity was one of the stat's required for ship blueprints. The cond stat was dropped when it came to live.
I believe the reason for adding the Hardened Arveshium was to mainly give more chances at getting uncapped steel, but also to add more steel to the galaxy. Each galaxy had a minimum of 2 classic steel at any time. Now we will also have at least 2 JTL steel in addition. The CD cap on steelused to be650 which will soon be broken on most servers.
On Tempest the 2nd Crystallized Steel spawned with CD 998 and OQ 808. Our weaponsmiths are drooling over it and have made some godly weapons already. And it's quite nice for shipwrights too. ![]()

It's too early to tell yet. Normal inorganics last 7 to 10 shifts with each shift being roughly one day. The first set of JTL resources lasted far longer than 10 days, but that may have been manipulated to allow people to mine enough of it. We won't really know for sure until we see a permanent pattern. Most likely the current set of JTL resourcesis on the correct timer. So if they last longer than 10 days too, the JTL resources will probably continue to last longer.

Ummm you are smoking something and I want some. On Wanderhome ours is:
cd-266
oq-861
I have seen far better than this multiple times. But then again our server seems to get the shaft alot on resources. I mean skevon gas (sorry might have speeled it a little off) has not even been on our server for the last 6 monthes. I mean I do not care if it is crappy but at least give us a little. Alot of the resources that we need are never around and they say just wait a couple of cylcles. I have not seen it and I know for a fact this is great stuff first, second I know that WS need it for thier warheads. So for 6 monthes they could not make these. Why put a specific resource in the game and then never let the player get any? Will it be the same with our stuff later. Will our coppers and alum specifics suddenly get up and walk out?
What he's real saying, is that this has the ability to beat any other steel, which have caps, whereas this one doesn't.
