Well I was just on TC before the patch went live, and sure enough the Chassis builder is now buying RE component drops at 1k per RE level.
As this is the only business I am in, I have to substantially raise my purchase rate for these to compete with the easy access to the Chassis builder in every starport.
At least they could have let me put a buyer vendor next to them to compete on an equal footing.
Don't expect those Firespray prices to come down anytime soon now. My hope of getting Firespray chassis prices down have been delt a mortal blow by SOE themselves.

actually it isn't about the price as much as having to compete with a NPC that is right there in the starport that buys everything. And once you get over level 3 stuff, if you are making crap you don't know how to RE yet.

I dont think this will be too much of a problem, my guild will still save me the loot and I have a load of loyal customers

Could just stand next to chassis guy and spam you offer 1.5k / level, RE as you buy and sell the crap RE stuff to the chassis guy.
But what I think might become a problem is that it will increase the money entering the system causing more inflation. Well that is if I don't buy the loot lol

This is going to go a long way towards keeping Firesprays rare. I see that as good and bad.
On the other hand, this is going to mean pilots will have a LOT more income to spend on our other products. Definitely good. And, in all honesty, a great change for everyone that's not a shipwright. It's weird, seeing all these fixes I'm happy about. Like I hyperdrove to Bizarro World without noticing.

Woot! SOE rocks for putting this feature in. I think it is a great move. I do feel for the SW's out there wanting to get firesprays, but considering how freaking ridiculous most SW's prices are for stuff you can afford to double what the NPC's are offering for space loot and STILl make out like bandits.

As a Pilot and dropping looted parts off with a promise of Cash for said loot. Only to be sent a email that the Advetised buy rate was refused. Now as a pilot i dont have room for all this loot. So i feel its great. I dont have to hunt down a SW thats willing to pay. I mean after all you all cant afford to buy looot to RE anyway due to you chasis costing you so much and you are just breaking even.I land and dump what i dont want or is junk. even if you offerd more now. I wouldnt waste my time to travel to your vendors. Its pointless Chasis Dealers dont decline sales.

i must say i do like this feature as my toons on tc are not yet mastered (lol to much live playing o wait i kept crashing on tc thats right) but i like this feature as i have tons of re'd crap on my vendor and if it doesn't move i will just take it to the dealer and get some cash
so either way its still a win win imo

Unfortunately, my only SW business was RE parts. Buying, REing, and Reselling. As I was trying to point out.. the path of least resistance will be taken by most pilots so those of us who were niche SWs specializing in RE will slowly die off because of this.

i have averaged probably an hour a day scouring the bazaar looking for good capacitors so i can bring them back to the vendor and reverse them since MASTER SHIPWRIGHT SUCKS !!! at making capacitors. now im gonna pull all the capacitors off the vendor and keep them for close friends as i doubt they are going to be easily available for me to make the effort to reverse them and provide them to the public

why dont you just hop in a fighter and loot the parts yourself? its not that hard, one duty mission alone will give you a full inventory of junk, good possible parts etc.
