Thread: A little story about no factory support

Raise your prices.
If things are flying off of your vendors faster than you can craft them, then you are not charging enough. Supply and demand are at work here, the basis of any economy. Simply up the prices to where yourcrafting speedreasonably meets how fast people are buying things, it might take a little while to figure out a happy medium, but in the end, you won't get burned out, and you won't have people complaining there's nothing on your vendor.
Raise our prices? Yah someone said that before. We have raised our prices so high, I get insulted by alot of players as being a price gouger. We are up to 5 times what most shipwrights charge. I think our prices are raised as high as we can do it and not feel guilty.

Good thought there Tyranus. Another idea is subcontract out to other Shipwrights. They can always use the extra cash just either pay them a set amount with you guys supplying the resources or allow them to charge you guys the price that they see fair so u can bboth make a profit on the items.
Every shipwright I have talked too on kauri has either quit or is too busy trying to keep themselves above water.
Limited factory support would help here. Schematic use of no more then 10 items would be a godsend right now. I could dump a schematic in each of the 7 factories then craft whats left. Probably be done in just a few hours. But thanks to the "Run newbie! Its a veteran!" players I am stuck.
Cant do factory support even limited, as some people think factories are some leet loot that only drops off a specific named NPC during a full moon the second wednesday past penticost during leap year. At least this is my observation as most people think new players cant get a factory or 7.

Lol thats funny about the factory. What all are you making or behind on. Send me a message here maybe I can assist you. I am caught up on the server at the moment. Give me details of how you thought about doing this or send the customer to me or something like that to assist you if I am able to.

Your playing a crafter and complaining because you have to craft. The one thing they did right is eliminate "mules" from shipwright. If you want to play a crafter, and make the money they do, you have to actually do it by crafting, not just by making schematics for 15min a day and then spending another 30-60 on resources andvendors. Too many people want SW to be like AS or WS where you can invest a small amount of time to make huge amounts of money and then go playyour "main."
I do see where you are coming from Tyranus. I for one do not care for the factory support, due to the fact I am not in ypur situation. Howevere if I place myself in your situation I totally understand where you are coming from and a compromise of 10 components in a factory would be very sufficient. If and When I get bigger in the industry I am sure I myself will be asking what you are as well. Just at this time I am not so I voted I did not care for factory support. So I do apologize for that and maybe just maybe one day I will EAT my own words. I hope that day comes when I am slammed like you are lol. I may have to move into a well known City or something for that though!

Even if I had limited support I would still be crafting a couple of hours a day. You people really need to learn the term compromise. I am not asking for full support. Heck none of the pro factory people are. But some of you are so blind and single minded you refuse to meet even one qaurter of the way with the quarter on your side of the 50 yard line. Its all or nothing huh?

Let the whiners whine. I bet those same people accusing you of price gouging are the same people coming back time and again, finding your vendors understocked. Simply explain to them that you have to keep your prices up to be able to have a stocked vendor. As long as your prices aren't so high as to totally stop your sales(or slow them to a crawl), you'll be fine. There will always be those complainers who think that you're price gouging, even at 1cpu.
If factory support is implemented, it will be a while. In the meantime, the part of the Supply/Demand equation that you have control over is pricing.
