HI,


I just built a medium cargo hold, with 1000 OQ on both resources (don't know if this is right or wrong), with a great success in assembly, I start out at 11%...either the resources are not showing correctly or the assembly process is borked.

I ran into this same thing. What's happening is that it requires OQ and unit toughness I believe it is as the experimental qualities... and neither of the resources have a unit toughness (or whatever the second value is). Hence its counting as a 0, and the max you can get is 50%.

My main issue is that they will not let us build the new spaceships. The new ships are being given out as deeds at the end of quests.With Beserker rifles or AV-21s, they gave out integral parts but still needed crafters. The way the game is headed crafters will not be needed. You run through the quest that Darth Platypus laid ouit and you have everything you need to do space mining.


From an SW point of view, the cool part of the expanion are the ships. But we are cut out of that. There is no content on the expansion for a shipwright. What content there was, the schamtics, were in my datapad before the expansion.


The screwed the Entertainers. Squad Leaders. Doctors. Image Designers. Armorsmiths. Now Shipwrights. It is clear that everything being developed is soly for the combat classes, and to me there is no reason to continue in a non combat role.


So I cancelled my Shipwright

added the hull strake mod to my X wing, looks all spiffy but i can see none of the mass modifications eluded to in the press release.



Were all Charlie Brown still tryin to kick that football, and Lucy,you can guess who Lucy is.

There is no mass increase. There just cosmetic. Well they add a little ( Imean little) to your armor and hitpoint I believe but that's it.


And yes I am a wee bit irked about the new ships not being craftable. I'm irked NONE of the new rewards are craftable. They do certainly seem to have set up a way for folks to completly curtail crafters in the game. Furniture, SHips, Armor, Wepons all new loot rewards that are not crafted. Lot of folks will see this hit over the coming weeks I think.....


My SW expires in another month... We'll see what they do between now and then. They sure do seem to want to be rid of there currwnt playerbase.

My issue is that you dont know what equipment level the new components are.. I can use lvl 5 parts so that means in general I can use Mark III components.. Since I assumed the new parts are leveled the same, I made myself a Mark III mining laser. After crafting the laser I noticed it was a lvl 7 component. I looked back and noticed you cannot tell the lvl of the new components unless you have already commited the resources to craft them..

Could we have a clarification on whether this is intended (resource stats not matching schematic requirements) or a bug?

Same problem here, and POB components won't be worth crafting until it's fixed.

Is there any way you can get some sort of statement from the Devs on the future of crafters? I know this is a huge question that needs to be answered for a ton of players right now. Is there going to be any point to gathering resources and trying to build a business in this game? What's the point of being in the Shipwright profession? We are supposed to gather resources and build the chassis that they are making deeded loot in this expansion. If this same group of guys had been in charge of JTL I'll bet money that NONE of the Master Level ships would have been craftable. They need to realize this is Star Wars Galaxies that they are writing code for now, not Everquest. Can you push this issue to the very TOP of your questions and please let the Shipwrights and other crafters of this game know what response they give? If they don't respond to your query at all would be a good enough answer for me right now.

Myself and another correspondent have posted about this issue to the devs. It's kinda late though, not sure we will hear anything tonight.


Here is my take on this.


Yes, there are a few chassis out of all of them that we cannot make as shipwrights. While I'd like to be able to craft every ship related object in the game, I can spend 4 hoursa day doing nothing but crafting and still not keep a fully stocked shop when I am really on a run. The high end market for shipwright components on corbantis is very good. The market for reverse engineered items of high quality is doing very well.


As soon as the asteroid miners get in full swing, we will see a steady supply of resouces to make the new POB ship components. Now we have even more parts to create, includingcomponents needed for these miners to go out and get big loads of the resources fast.


Many pilots will want these new ships, and they will want components for them. We always made more credits off the components anyway since they are not high sounding prices like those resource hogging chassis. =)

Ok lemme clarify something I wrote in an earlier post today and I have some questions....are the enhanced tie interceptor and such craftable. Secondly, the heavier ships that have been introduced...are they more efficient than an oppressor per se? If the answer is no-none of the ships are craftable and then 2nd the heavier ships are more efficient than what I can make then changes need to be made becuse my heavy ships would then be worthless. (Does anyone have stats for these new ships?) If SOE's strategy is to get more people into space with rewards great that needed to be done but, at a point, reward ships should go back toschematic form. If not, this is a HUGE error as SWG's appealtomature players is diversity if I cannot economically form plans and sell a product then I will go and be a bounty hunter and enjoy the ground game for a bit until I just get sick of that portion of theit and then what???? I'll have to quit from boredome......the devs must know thereis more to this than shoot'em up and if not then thatruins my hopes of having a game experience that could go on as the game progresses.


P.S. I see the need for combat upgrade....that's fine but pleasegive people back their ability to wear armor at most levels as it is very frustrating to be picked off repeatedly while trying to mineand realistically anyone can wear armor...so it doesn't make sense to have such a restriction....I mean keep the weapon restriction so you can't fight well-so if you're so inclined you'llgo that route but at least give me the option to wear armor so I can run (and PSGs just don't cut it).


Again, not to be disrespectful for those that work hard on a video game and whose efforts I appreciate greatlybut I play the game often and this is what I have experienced.
