Thread: KUAT DISKS A QUESTION

Hi,
I have recently dropped master shipwright do shipwright lvl 0444,I need the free skill points for jedi,after doing much RE on space loots I have not gotten any kuat disks.The question is if after RE i still have a chance of getting a disk even if I am not master shipwright?

Not 100% sure so I will leave the above question for SW with more experence but I would like to add my own question.
I currently have 4 disks and was wondering when i get all 8 to make the scheme, can I make one ship at a time or do I need to use the scheme up all at once and make all 5 ships? Also is the scheme like making normal ships or is a factory needed?

Shipwright level shouldn't affect your chance to get disks. So you shouldn't need to wait till master on these, you'll still have the same (quite small) of getting a disk drop whether you're a master or a novice.
You can build one ship at a time and don't need to do a factory run or anything. They're handcrafted like everything else.

be patient.
im master SW for 2 months (really appreciate to see many respec SW 
), and NEVER have any disc...I think a RE about 250 pieces.

Thx for the help guys,soo il keep RE,i though i couldnt get any more disks if I dropped master SW,i got 3 kuat disks from REing 70 space loots (not lvl 1)...and im not a respec SW,i mastered it before CU,all the days of camping the acklay and trading bones for resources to master WS was worth it.

I got lucky i have 3/8 and 5/8 out of less then 100 REs ..but then i decided to stock up for a while and use RE to make better stuff to sale instead of just slamming it out in hopes of more discs. They will come in time just dont rush it and i am really curious if you can get them from RE'ing level 1 items. Im gonna try it out one weekend when i get some free time from mining and crafting. Spend one day in a newb zone blowing everything up i find an see if i can pop a disc out of 100-200 level 1 items. If i do ill be sure to post in the pilot forum.

good idea
i ll try to hunt noob ships to have many lvl 1 comp. It s a way to repeat RE, and get disks.

I got all my kuat disks from RE lvl 2 loot or higher,seems the lower the lvl of the loot the lower the chances of a kuat disk dropping.

I have had mixed results. But the majority of the disks i have gotten are from Lvl 1. However, there are three disks that have alluded me. I have had to trade my multiple duplicates to get them. I am still missing one disk to make a complete set and also hit a streak of bad luck. Some days your a disk god and some weeks you are a loser.

*looks at thelight bulb over his head* Now...basically the discs are 100% random, not effected by the level of RE or the level of the shipwrite.However i wonder....some people have said they get more of a specific number disc and relate it to the server they are on seems most people get discs from low level stuff and have repeats.
What if..the number disc was in a short way tied to the level of RE and changed per server.. not saying level 1 always gets part X/8 but i mean level 1 has higher chance of getting you X/8 or X/8 on Kauri but on Lowca its another number thats popular while level 7 has a higher chance of another. You could still get any number from any level randomly but the chances decrease of getting all 8 from level 2 and 3 REs. On your server assume 3/8 was the most popular and most people get them from level 2 or level 3..so it would be safe to assume if you get a higher chance of getting 3/8 then the others while doing lowest level REs.
Anyone willing to help me test this out? I am and have been stocking up hard on RE items gonna wait until im out of storage room in the house i dedicated to this then start cranking. Over time im going to record exactly what part i get, if i used a Kuat system part or not, and what level it came from. ..normally id keep this kinda stuff to myself as if it turns out to be true it leaves for a very large edge over the competition but as rare as they are and as i have less and less time to spend in space it may take forever.

You have got way too much time on your hands if you are planning to record every single thing you RE. I fly all the time, RE all the time and I have plenty of discs, triples of some. I am not sure if this is all servers but I can say on Tarquinas disc # 4 is a tough one to get. I have at least doubles of all others.
There is one superstition that I have when I RE. It started when I got my first disc, I was RE'ing like mad with no discs for a long time, say after 200-300 parts. One day I had my SW droid out while RE'ing and pop I got my first disc. I have had him out while RE'ing since and he seems to be pretty good luck for me. I get discs every second RE session where I do about 40-50 parts.

Iv never had my droid out when Re'ing stuff so I think its just random chance.
One more question tho, where do you guys keep all the parts for Re'ing as Im constantly running out of room

Where can I trade bones for Reasources? Where is acklay
