imo questions 6, 8,9 are space related and should be answered by pilots since they are affected by that.


from a pilot perspective:


6.) just right, could be a bit lower, but not much

8.) would be handy but what happends to parked ships when the SP is destroyed due a city downgrade?

9.) too high - take it down to 5% for components. chassis decay is ok.


also, give shipwrights the possibility to make halfway decent engines and capacitors.

2. Not a pressing issue
3. Yes, with a low conversion rate
4. No, small differences between ships are fine
5. Influence of resource is ok
6. Not there yet.
7. I do not see a reason to change flight computers/droid interface
8. I would like to see player city starports
9. So far, decay works for me.

An addition:

I would like to see shipwright terminals, which can be used to access the ship of a customer, so the shipwright can check how the components he sells his customer fit into the customers ship.

1. I would like to see increased factory support.

This would be extremely beneficial for many objects. I can see this never being truly needed for starship chassis as at most, one would be able to craft barely more then two or three at any given time due to the demands of resources. However, for missiles, weapons and other components, I can see factory support being extremely useful.

2. I would like to see Shipwright trainers in Player Cities.

To me, this is not so important, as we have to land in and take off from Starports and each Starport has Shipwright trainers in place already. However, if Starports can be built in player cities, then I would like to see Shipwright trainers be made available.

3. I would like to be able to convert Shipwright XP into Force Crafting XP.

This is an incredibly important issue that must be resolved. Right now, I am quite stuck with Character points in that I have to keep Master Artisan in order to continue to gain XP to convert over to Force Crafting XP. This severely limits my ability to gain combat ability, which is needed to extreme levels in order to complete most of the Force Sensitive quests and will be the MOST important thing, if I am able to make it to Padawan. Being able to transfer SW XP to FS Crafting XP, even at an extremely high rate of exchange is important for those of us Shipwrights that are also Force Sensitive.

4. I would like to see increased returns from experimenting.

Definately. If only to be capable to reaching the insane heights that some of the looted components have. Of course, with increassed returns, I would expect increased disasters, which would make most anything that has a failure nearly useless to complete the crafting of.

5. I believe resource quality does not have enough effect on item stats.

This is definately noticeable when it comes to starship chassis. I have read reports of people using the worst of the worst in resources and seeing little difference between starship chassis built using high-end resources.

6. Mark V masses are too high.

I don't know about this. Perhaps this provides good balance to Rebel/Imperial starfighters in that it keeps certain pieces of equipment out of Imperial Starfighters where they might see performance increases that it would simply be ludicrous.

7. Droid Interfaces/Flight Computers:
* I would like to see Flight Computers moved to Shipwright.
* OR
* I would like to see Droid Interfaces moved to Droid Engineer.

I just want to be able to craft those memory chips to put into droids. I have tons of the Artisan Memory Modules, that nobody is buying and I haven't had a chance to hunt down any Droid Engineers to see if they have both droids and burnable program chips.

8. Player City Ship Access:
* I would like to see a Player City starport.

This would be an excellent addition. Even if it consists of little more then a simple landing pad along with an outbuilding or two. It would be excellent if the city could also have one of a few different starship chassis to display on the platform. X-WIngs for Rebel Cities, TIE Interceptors for Imperial Cities and YT-1300's for Neutral City platforms.

* I would like to see a Player City starship terminal.

This would go along with the above. The only problem I see with this is an opportunity for griefing by way of getting many players to use the landing platform and then to pick-up or otherwise destroy the platform. The best way to fix this is to have any ships landed at such a platform be suddenly moved to the next closest platform, whether that be a nearby player city or a nearby static NPC city.

* Just right.


Most everything seems to be working out perfectly in regards to decay.
