Has anyone else noticed a decline in the number of shipwrights on their server? I had several people just in the last week tell me they have been having trouble finding a good vendor for stuff.

Yup, the rush for pilot stuff is over, theirs not much biz as a SW anymore....
Maybe not on your server but i'm still doing ok. Yes the mad rush is over but there are still people after quality components

My sales are increasing probably because the number of SW going down on Ahazi (or at least a reducation in stocked vendors).

I've noticed a sharp bump in business over the past week. I don't know if this is because SW's are going out of business, but I think we are also seeing a bump in server population. Tempest has gotten a loot of Noobs lately.

Is there a decline in numbers?
On bria, i beleive so. Or at least, a decline in GOOD shipwrights. Most of what i see is generic, not nothing really outstanding in craftsmanship and quality. About the only thing i did find was missle reloads. Most SW's i used to hit reguarly have simply stopped stocking their vendor, or folded up shop entirely.
Ironic how now, i am a master shipwright myself, out of neccessity. The decline in numbers, and medicore wares left me little choice if i wanted to fine tune my ships just how i like them. Now i find myself being the SW for my guild, most of what i create for them is just at base cost to create or free if made from scrap material.

I temporarerly stopped my SW business for FS grinding. This will be finished by the end of this week. But I honestly don't know, if I will come back to SW business. Sure, I still get tells by my earlier customers. And I'm sure I can be back in business very easy.
But the remaining 2 weeks before my last phase quest will be used for looting sessions. Namly crystal lootings. So I probably have to change my Sig in the near future.

My numbers are still very steady. All the suckers have cleared out and the good SWs are emerging.

Theres a 10 day trial for both galaxies and JTL going on. Thats why there have been an influx of newbies.

How amusing. At the link to download the 10 day trail is a screenshot of SWG with a Jedi in it. I can see all the new players thinking that they will be able to try and see what its like to play a Jedi in their 10 day trial period. Shameful SOE, really shameful to be misleading people like that.

I dont see it as a decline. I see it as the game is finally settling. As with anyexpansion or major publish, at firstthere will be a ton of players heading in that direction. After a while, not so many will.

I've noticed a slight increase in sales lately. I did real good at the launch of JTL, but then you got all the low-baller SW out there, I kept my prices at what I thought was reasonable, and saw sales slump a bit. Now I guess a lot of the low-ballers are dropping out, so people are comming back. Guess it is time to buckle down and start crafting again

Old news, actually. It started happening quite a while ago. Once the chassis market was saturated with undercutters a lot of people quit- perhaps they didn't know there's more to being a shipwright than making chassis.
