I've been selling them for a million a piece, mainly because of the huge resource costs..

What do you charge for your masterships?

I think a million is pretty reasonable. That works out at 7 cpu and if you're happy with that, then that's fine. I think you'll find that a lot of people are selling them at 1.5 million and that's what I sell them at too.

If you're buying the resources you're probably paying 5 cpu so then you're only making a 2 cpu profit. You also have to factor in other costs. Because of the high resource requirements (150k) you also have to allow for the fact that you won't be able to craft components as much because you've just blown 150k of resources. So anywhere between 1 and 1.5 million I think is ok - depending on your needs and server economy.

One Billlion Dollars

ok a lot of people have been posting about this subject and it varies greatly from 500k to 1.5 mil

however if your talking about a firespray I saw one for sale the other day for 8 mil.

I don't sell ships I give them away*.

I only sell the parts and missiles.

The Institute because being an imperial is hard enough.**

*(This offer is only available to members of The Institute, rebels need not apply nor freelancers or those looking for a free ship just because our guild gives them away It also depends on your rank within the guild and how I am feeling when you ask, how many times you ask and who else is in the queue for a ship and the particular alignment of the planets and how much of a foul mood I am in and how broke I am and the amount of spare resources I have).

Firespray is not a master ship, its a "master" ship

By masterships I mean the mpships, opressor and bwing.

I think that I will raise to 1,1 and see how that works

Thanks

I've seen people selling lvl 4 ships on Chimaera for 120k as the difference between the best resources for chassis compared to the grind level was proven in the beta, or maybe here,to not make very little difference to overall mass or hitpoints. No idea if this still is true or not so if someone can maybe advise.

So its whatever you paid for the resource plus 1-2 cpu on top at present seems to be a sensible price thatis now coming becoming the norm.

I am selling at 600k, but a customer needs to preorder. And maybe he will need to wait a day or two, depending on the resource situation.

600k is 4CPU, so quite cheap. To be able to offer ships at this price, I need to harvest my own resources, so my earnings/ship are still ok.

I sell mine for 1.5million as usual unless its a pilot I have made special arrangemnets with. Which I might add is quite a few, so it all works out well for all parties involved!

I am always surprised when I hear so many shipwrights talk about what they have to buy the resources for. Don't you harvest your own resources? For me harvesting is an integral part of being a crafter (just like using factories is.. but thats a different story ).

My prices are the following:

Novice: 12k

Tier 1: 40k

Tier 2: 80k

Tier 3: 160k

Tier 4: 220k

Master: 500k

I use whatever resources I find high densities for - usually near my home. Thus, I rarely look at the quality. But still I make ships that have the average mass listed in the FAQs. I don't always have all ship types on my vendor and I never have master ships stocked.

I think my prices are fair. I make a good profit selling 2-3 ships a day perhaps. Some would say that my prices are too low and that I could earn the same or even more by selling resources. My response to that is: "What's the fun in selling resources?"

alot of people buy their resources because we have to. I run a huge shipyards with lots of volume. I hold a pa hall and have 3 factories. Not exactly room for harvesting lots. I do not have the time to coordinate and search for resources. And even if i could, I couldn't harvest enough myself.

I sell master ships at 1.5M.

Though I'd rather use the 150K resources in selling components with much higher markup. For those that say quality doesn't matter, I'd say you are only half right. For ships with lower mass, quality does matter as the extra 1-2K you get with good resources could be the only way one could put in an uber component.

I know it has helped the ships I made for myself where I was just under 300-400 mass limit with my components.
