I read the DEV's were going to make the Y-8 into a "real miner". Is there any ETA?

If you can figure out the next time the moon will be next odd Thursday when the moon will be full, Mars will be aligned with Venus, and George W. Bush isn't stealing lollipops from our children--that is the day we will have a Y-8 that can actually serve as a mining vessel.

Just finished with Tiggs in chat, they have no ETA on any of the fixes
Id imagine it won't be fixed at all or at least for some patches.

I would settle with knowing whether or not its even being worked on. Theres a difference between having it on a list to fix and asigning the project to some programmers.

There is no ETA, but I spoke with a dev recently who brought the subject up with me. The Y-8 is getting a good look for improvement.

Well except for the GWB part I don't know. but George W. Bush doesn't steal lollipops from our kids. He leaves that to the Californians to do

I just heard in the SWG chat room that it was scheduled for May2006. I have no idea why the CSR_Norman guy would say that. We couldn't get any additional information from him for his comment.

Well, we can only hope that his information was not correct.

I am really hoping we get the ability to move things up and down inside the ship without having to wait for the ship to be completely refurbished. It is hard to do any significant decorating since everything is currently stuck down at floor level.
The ship needs a dedicated tractor beam slot and an elite (Y-8 only) "wide beam" tractor array to go with it. This might just make it possible to use the ship for mining.
It should also have a loot box.

I agree with Azdraik. I'd like to HAVE my Y-8 for when they fix it.
