Thread: Milking issues
- Isn't it really frustrating when they run away
- ... even more so when they rubber band 60m or more away from you.
- Are there any creatures in the galaxy that give more milk that others in your experiences?
- What's with this bug where I start milking a creature and it ends up 20m in the air above my head? The only way I can get them down is to shoot them down!
- After around two hours intermittent milking, I had 1.4K of milk. Is this good or poor performance?

Finally, I am able to respond to you..... ![]()
As I normally go milking critters on a very casual basis, I had no clue as to howto answer your performance question. Anyway, so I spent one hour last night (I cheated, it was more like one hour and fifteen minutes) milking Bol's, Fambaa's (75-100 units per session) and Guamala's (35-55 units per session) in the northern planes of Naboo.
I collected 2.5 K within that time frame..... The rubber-banding seems to be more of an issue with the bigger critters. I felt your frustration.... but mostly, I had fun![]()
Yes! I kept one unit of wild milk for decoration, the rest got poured into my shiney new recycler!

DaveG wrote:Thanks for info! For the record I was milking Ronto's, Eopies and Matriach Bantha's. (So that's my excuse for my measly 1.4K lol).I was primarily hunting herbivore meat, so I feel rather bad about myself for milking them, then giving them the proverbial bolt-gun afterwardsMessage Edited by DaveG on 01-30-2005 01:22 PM
Don't feel too bad. The one time I actually set out to collect milk, I would milk the creatures, then kill them and harvest the milk off their corpses.

Are you saying you can get milk off them twice? (pre and post mortem?)
yep. after you kill 'em, type /harvest milk. Don't you remember all the funny issues we had wilth milk? You can milk when you're incapacitated, you can milk dead animals and one time, somebody milked a nightsister.

For me this feature vanished a couple of patches ago. *boggle* I could swear I tried this again a couple of nights ago with no luck and have been wondering for a while already why milk prices have not escalated. I miss the feature since post mortem milking gave even a bigger chunk of milk than the regular milking - although it was a bit creepy as a concept IMO. Back in the day I was able to get close to 20k of milk in a buff period.
