Thread: How am I doing, guys?

Guys,

There are some folks out there who are pretty down on the whole correspondent idea, and it's got me to start thinking about some things.

How do you guys think I'm doing? Am I doing what you expect me to do? Am I representing your ideas to the Devs fairly?

And do you think I've been doing this for too long?

I don't want this to be a love fest, so if you've got some critical feedback, I'd like to hear it. I want to make sure that I'm representing you all fairly - even if I sometimes disagree with certain things (/tipshat Seiryuu).

So let me know what I can do better.

Thanks guys!

B

Don't freaking expect flowers on your birthday, but for an Imp you are doing pretty darn well.

You have one of, if not the best, guides for the profession. You address our concerns, have a sense of humor, and you seem to be trying. Hey, even some of the off the wall crap you have added to the hit list.

Other correspondents, who shall go nameless, seem to be totally wrapped in their own ideas. If they did not think of it, it sucks.

Anyhow, continue driving on. The above is only my never humble opine. Flame at your own risk.

and no, I don't expect the sucking up to get me the /wedgie command, so I don't.

But you do need to go back Ranger from SquatLeader

Delta

You and NRaas have been amazing, the symbiosis between the scout forums and the ranger forums have been great. You have put out the comprehensive bible on scouting and NRaas is doing the same for Rangers.

Simply put, If I see that you have posted in a thread, I read it because I know something good is in it.

Thanks for all the effort that you and NRaas have put into it.

Delta, I think you are doing a wonderful job. Youare very knowledgable about the profession, responsive to our concerns, and also remind the Devs of our issues regularly. Another important thing is you have a very good attitude towards being a correspondent. In other words you take it seriously without taking yourself too seriously. Last, but certianly not least, you helped (along with the other forum regulars, of course) set the tone of this forum to be an overall positive, informative, and welcoming place to read and post.

Personally, I think some of the criticism of the correspondent system is mainly due to two tangential issues. First, some people are fed up with a fewcorrespondents that think the posistion is about promoting their own agendas for their profession or the game, not communicating the players concerns to the Devs. Secondly, manypeopleblame thecorrespondents (among other things) when they don't get their issues addressed by the game.In my humble opinion, the second isthe mostprevalent cause for disliking the correspondent system. Some posters seem to forget that a correspondent's obligation is to collect the issues and pitch them to the Devs, and that they have no control over what gets implemented.

So in summary Delta, stay the course and I wouldn't mind if you stayed Scout Correspondent as long as you can put up with us.

NRass, probably you do know em, but it wasn't you, nor did you ever enter my mind when I wrote that.

No insult to you intended at all. Honest. You areas good as Brisc, prolly better as you are not an Imp. Read myt latest posts to your ideas if you have any doubts.

I do have other professions, and have dabbled a bit here and there so I have traveled the forums. We at least do not count how many times we get hit/dodge in a half hour, then write about it.

So be happy, but no freaking flowers for you either. Gotta be fair. I may send candy tho, wife makes killer fudge and peanut clusters.

Delta, we may not agree on everything, but I think you and N'Raas are both doing a great job.

(Actually it is just the one issue that I am aware of. Even correspondents can't be right 100% of the time. )

Whew... I worried I had lost the pulse of my forum for a second there.

"You areas good as Brisc"

No one is a good as DeltaXi65... He is a first round Corr. It takes guts to hang around for that long, and still be productive at the same time.
