Thread: What's your longest trip?
I had Novice Ranger on a Friday afternoon. I accidently surrendered it (instead of Brawler) and lost 15K Scouting XP (ouch!) Friday night. After kicking myself for much of the night, I finally said, f-it and walked up to the Ranger Trainer to get Ranger training again.
The Ranger Trainer was in Kaadara and I was in Moenia, btw. I walked 10km to the Ranger Trainer, but, along the way I picked up the necessary 15K Scouting XP I needed to become Novice Ranger (again)! I also qualified for Frontiering I. ![]()
It was a fun trip, but I ponied up the 200+cr and took the shuttle back to Moenia. ![]()
Roz,
I would say that my longest recent walkabout was on Sunday.
I went from Nym's Stronghold on Lok to the Imperial base to the southeast (About 6k), than across to the Volcano (about 6k), and then to the Kimo village (about 8k), and back to Nyms (2k).
It was fun. And I didn't die once! Thank you maskscent!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who loves /maskscent. It seems to be taking a beating lately. I have yet to have any problems with it.
That sounds like one h311 of a trip. I got to get back to Lok. I think I'll wait until I get novice BH and get a few new weapons. Any advice on what to kill when I do get back? Perlacks? Flits? What should I kill, what should I avoid? What other professions do you have (rifleman?)? What kind of weapons do you use and what are your tactics? Like I said, I'm going BH. But, I'm enjoying the scout/ranger stuff so much that if I'm not thrilled with BH I may keep going up the Ranger tree or some sort of weird hybrid.
Roz,
I love killing Snorbals. Generally, I hit anything that cons white to me while I'm running, and that could be flits, some lower level mynocks, and of course - lots of Rebels. ![]()
Watch out for gurks though. They run FAST.
I'm a rifleman - halfway to sniper, and I've just started getting the XP for novice swordsman. I want to be able to hit from far and then when that doesn't work, hit hard from close.
And I realized that I messed up there - the Imp base is to the SOUTHWEST, not SE.

There's not much out there.
I almost went that far. One time I was looking for the, so far invisible, bark mite hatchlings. I started in Restuss and ran all the way to the Rebel Outpost plus 3-4 km east and west of there, found nothing but trouble. I was still having trouble with the targeting system and just happened to be "looking" at a Gungan chieftain when I was attacked by an NPC. Unfortunately, I still had him targeted when I hit the /attack. Needless to say I didn't last long, and I was DBd in the process. The next little jaunt took me from Narmle to the northern edge and then over to Restuss, not sure what I was looking for that time. Not sure what the traveled distance was. Although, it's just over 8km from Narmle to the northern edge.

Master of diddly...actually, I just made Explorer tonight.
I'm on Talus now setting off to do the same actually.. hehe. but seeing as the cities are clustered in the center and the outskirts are pretty city-less, I'm walking the rim of the planet first
The Rim?? I feel like I'm on the Disc...
My longest trip was done without the benefit of maskscent, or exploration 3.
I went from about 1k m North of Mos Espa to Bestine, I'm not really sure how far it is. But it seems like a looooong way when you're trying to "go around" sycks, squills, and all the other critters that want to chew your face off.
Hmm...I have done :
- Restuss to Namerle -- by way of the lake
- Theed to Kaadara -- A strole along the north coast
- Theed to Lake Retreat to Moenia -- Mountains of fun
- Endor Guantlet -- Between the outposts
I have traveld all over Naboo, and I still find new areas to explore. My "problem" now is that I don't realy get anyreward to explore since I am alraedy Master Ranger. Now I hunt for specific things, and thus I don't wander that often.

Well as a scout I wandered the planet a lot once I was about halfway through scout. I'm talking I would not go back into a town for a weeks worth of sessions. I love to wander about.
Recently though, on Tat, I went from Mos Taike to the Oasis on the East side(which I found radomly, I love it when that happens) wandered around those mountians there. Man are they large! From there ran all the way up to the Noth East corner and started treking West across the top of the map. I started heading back down south and found the Tusken Fort. (A hint on getting a mess'o scout xp, is hang outside the fort while a group is in there, crawl around and start collecting xp, I was using a camo kit) From there I headed south until I was on the same latitude as Mos Entha and headed in there for the Ranger trainer.
It took most of Sat for that trip, with of course doing some hunting along the way. I think I have about 500 350ish OQ herbivore meat from that trip.
