I'm not sure what it relies on actually... all I know is that while using a High Quality Camp last night... I was getting 1100 xp after about 5 minutes I believe. I wasn't really paying attention to the time... but it sure seemed to be short.... it was just the time it took me to call my pet and store it again 15 times.
I'll time it tonight when I get home from work... but I don't get off till late so I'm sure someone else will have posted the specifics by then.

Lot quicker to make camps and traps. I been using tons of traps for XP. Using the camps to heal and get XP. Crafting is a double bonus. Oh yeah, also gets rid of the extra hides I don't need/won't sell.

Traps are much slower... at least what I've found. Traps only give you an average of what 30-35 points per trap? Camps are a little faster at around ??? 50-55 points per? Then there's the time it takes for the trap to be completed. I used to use two generic crafting tools, which made it faster... but not as fast as the pet trick. Even with doing practices (which is what you should be doing due to the 5% xp bonus per practice) the "pet pull" was much faster for me.
When you can get the max xp for 4 camps in the time it used to take for 1... it's schweet!
I only wish I had found out about this earlier.

The crafting macro that I usually use has 5 crafting tools in it. If you get a good rhythm going, you can get through it very, veryquickly.

Once you start throwing those traps at Rancors, Voritors, and quenkers (yeahI know 2 different planets) that trapping xp moves much faster. Especially with stackable trap combos.

I found out a nice little trick from a friend...
You'll need a pet of some kind...
Setup camp. Call pet... store pet... call pet.... store pet.... do this 15 times or so and it will register as 15 (or more) "Current Visitors".
You can gain the full xp for your camp in around5 minutes instead of 20.
Works very nicely.

If this relies only on the "current" visitors deal, that doesn't really work.
But if this is something different - we should check it out.

JB has been making tons and tons of wire mesh and glow juice traps. One rancor pelted with 10 traps (11 if you count the adhesive mesh) makes for some fine XP. Poop on practice, I need the things to toss. Trapping xp is 15-1 for FS xp. I am trapping my buns off.

It's official.... timed it last night.
The pet call/store trick works nicely. I was getting 1100 xp every three minutes.

I tried this voer the weekend to grind enough XP to get Survival 4 and thus complete Master Scout.
It works but can be a bit funny. I found I had to do it 16-18 times and then leave the droid out afterwards and keep the camp up for 7-9 minutes to get full xp. Otherwise I'd be getting only half the xp.
Thankfully I was camped at the bottom of the hill from the east exit from Anchorhead so I had every 30-45 minutes a large group of hunters come streaming down the hill and through my camp helping push up the numbers. At one point I had 28-36 visitors. (Includes me pulling out the droids8 times.)

Droids didn't seem to work for me at all... only my pets for some reason.

Wow, after seeing this I may go Ranger. The only thing stopping me til now was the idea of the terrible Survival line in Scout. I did BH once, and when I surrendered Survival I said "never again" lol.

I'm only getting 685 max xp doing this 40 times plus.
I'm using the multiperson camp kit, could I be getting less xp than you guys cause of this?
Ideas? I'd like to finish off survival tree by today or tomorrow.
