Thread: scouting has gone to hell now
First off, i am not a scout but a DE, so i am not up to date with scout issues. However i was under the impression(misguided?) that scout would welcome this droid. A combat buddy who harvests for you, probots can be very handy now and are getting better. I am curious as to what it is you don't like about the idea. I mean no disrespect but i don't see a down side to this droid, it makes your life easier doesn't it?

Oh! Oh! Do you have more specifics on how it works! Do they scout the same amount as the player can? Can you group with the droid and both harvest the same animal? Will it automatically pick up the resource or to you have to issue a /tellpet command to do it for each one? Can you issue the command while you're in combat with another creature?

You've been here long enough that you should know that this kind of post isn't necessary, appreciated, or in keeping with the tone of our forum.
There is absolutely no chance that this droid is going to ruin our profession. None at all. At the worst, a lot of folks who don't usually hunt will go out and hunt now. What harm does that do us? None - because that means we've got more folks out in the wild using our skills. That's a good thing.
Second of all, 95% of us have no experience with this droid, so all we're doing is speculating about how the droid will affect the dynamic of the profession. And to automatically assume that this will be a bad thing is stupid and shortsighted. I expect more from Scouts that this.
We have got to stop second guessing and pulling a Chicken Little every time the Devs make an improvement to the game or to our profession. First, it spits on their hard work. Would you rather every other profession in the game got a droid module except us? Second, it makes them less likely to make our fixes, because no matter what they do, we **edit** at them. So why bother even trying if you're going to take heat either way? But the effort into a profession that will appreciate it.
Be optimistic - think about how this can HELP us, rather than hinder us. If this harvesting bonus is true, that's great, because it will solve the problem that everyone has been complaining about recently with the harvesting rates.
If you've got qualms about something, go ahead and post them, but do it constructively. All this type of post does is start fights.

So, does the droid store it on itself? Or does it store in yoru inventory?
When will this go live? Any ideas?

It stores the resource in the droid. And publish 8 was scheduled for 4/27, I believe.
