I know this is your second post on our boards, but I'm not sure if you've been reading for a while, butI often put in little /pokes on the CHs here. It's just good fun. Not serious.


We're a pretty tight community here, and we've got a lot of inside jokes. Sorry this one got you bent out of shape.

You wanted to hear some feed back and please hold boos and flames until the end please.

As a CH i feel lifting this restriction is more viable than forcing all professions to use camps to change weapons. And in theory thats all we use them for is changing a weapon. You may call a rancor a pet, i call it a living T21. We are the only profession forced to do this. I see this as true balance.

As far as camps as a money market. As a scout or ch. I recall paying for camps to grind with. Usually i dont pull a camp i make someone else. Im too cheap to buy them and too lazy to craft them. As someone else suggested its a mind numbing time sink and since i dont need the experience its worse than grinding.

Constructive values of camps. Im thinking something along the lines of healing modifiers.
Both mind and medic would get +1% more healing for each level of competence (excluding novices of both scout and rangers).

Pluto wanders into camp and the healer there using her crappy stim B would heal him for 115. Since this is a Master Scouts camp, there would an additional 5.75 tacked on for a total of 121 (rounded up of course lol). Of course the permanence issue is something nice as well, the camp only fades if disbanded by the scout or the time limit has expired.

Again what is good to me as one profession might hurt another but i would insist (and here you can boo) as a profession who also lost their cash cow (selling pets and mounts) that one fix shouldnt be painful to the other.

The positive twist (even as a CH im not too sore about im just hoping it falls into our tree) milking herbivores should make up for tents.

If you were joking I apologize, but you are right I come here every once in awhile and didn't see it as a joke. I misunderstood. being a CH makes me defensive. anyway keep up the good work.

Sorry I am late getting into this thread, but as a master Scout , I would like to point this out.



right now any changes to camps, would require an act of god to have it changed because it has a wide spread effect over who uses them. By removing the need to use a camp, you remove the # of people it effects so getting Stuff pushed through is easier.


but really, Lots of people are still going to want to have scout because they want to salvage the meats and hides to resell later. and if you have that, then you have the power to make tents, it just slows you dont a bit.

1-Increase camphealing rate, based on camp level the higher the camp the higher the healing ability.- this would make people want to camp.


3-let entertainers hell BF in camps.


4-allow pets to auto heal in camps like PC's.


Additionally, what about Some form of Vehicle repair. Slower than U would get at a garage, but it would add another boost to Camping.


Just a thought.

I don't know about you guys but the post where the DE's are not getting anything now, just proves to me once again that TH lies out his ass and has no love planned for us or the rangers. How many times are we going to believe the lies of the Devs?

He's not "lying".


Here's the issue - it takes 1 minute to make a post about something.


It can take a month for that idea or post to be developed.


There is just so much involved in this game that even a minor change (in our opinion) like fixing the Imperial Hat bug can have huge ramifications on game design.


The Droid Wars thing is literally HUGE - it's going to involved a revamp of the entire DE profession, the possible addition of a new profession, changes in all the droids, the introduction of new droids - the schematics of which need to be developed, tweaked, and made to coordinate with the other schematics. That's not something you can do in a day. Even if the entire Dev team dropped everything and focused on that one issue, it would still take a month to do, because none of that developing is done in a vacuum. You make droids to powerful, you nerf everyone else. You make them too weak, they're useless. Getting it right takes TIME. And that's the problem.


The Devs are doing a lot of stuff, and the upcoming changes in this publish aren't piddly - they're revamping the GCW, revamping combat (which is HUGE - everything goes back to HAMs), etc. There just isn't time. So when TH says "this is what we're trying to do", you need to understand that it takes him 5 minutes to type out that message, but it's three months worth of work.


Give the guy the benefit of the doubt - he's human, he's trying to do a tough job. Trust me - he's on OUR side.

I haven't seen that he is on our side yet. I would rather hear nothing than false promises they may get around to eventually. Eventually has been over7 months for the DE's now. His see you in EQ2 to one of the programers has a lot more people shaken up, whether or not he ment it that way he has really given off the impression that EQ2 is all sony really cares about. I think it is about time to adapt the whole actions speak louder than words cliche, and what have the Devs shown us recently? This is what i have seen:


1) They fireor dismiss half to 2/3 of their customer support people


2) Any time there is a screw up in the game that directly effects people, say loss of materials or objects they say "oops" tough luck, submit a ticket? anyone recieve a non canned reply to a ticket on an important subject?


3) Some one was harassing a guild mate of mine to the point of stalking and they told my guildie that they cannot change the name to help out, that "guildie" would have to delete the character, after 7 months worth of hard work


4) For months they have been telling rangers we would get revamped traps and other things, yet they have not materialized.


5) They implimented decay against the wishes of the masses and killed the GCW


6) They tell the DE people they will be made useful and blew smoke up their butts for 7 months now and then rip the rug out from under them once they actually were thinking about sending some their way


7) They allow basic camps to be used by anyone with out really giving anything back to the scouts, wasn't it TH that said you will be forced to make choices in this game as you develop your char to force team play? They promise us better tents or modular tents but in reality they are placating us to continue to recieve our 15 a month while they plan the space expansion while there are so many bugs and exploits not to mention lag spikes sometimes make the game almost unplayable.



Delta i have always had a great deal of respect for you, and i will believe you when you say they are working on things, but as far as the Devs and SOE goes their track record is pitiful.
