For the crafters. If you want quality stuff, find a contract hunter that will gather what it is you want, at an agreed upon price. Many ranger, and some scouts, do this. There are also groups of hunters that do this, llike the Ranger of Bria(RoB) on Bria server.
For the scouts. The prices for organic resources depend moslty on the quality of it. The major resources in demand for crafting, and the ones crafters want in high quality are: wooly, yavin leather, avian, insect, herbivore, and carnivore for chefs mostly. The prices for resources is generally determined on a per unit, or credit per unit (CPU). So it's not so much how big the stack is, just multiply number of units by the cpu. The medium quality and up resouces usually start at about 30cpu and the high demand high quality can get up to 60cpu. This depends also on the economy of your server, and sometimes what the resource is coming off of. For example avian from Tat is rediculous slow and boring to get. It's only on dwarf nuna, and the last time I hunted it, it was for 100cpu. Not because of quality only, but the slowness factor of it. The lower end resources, or the ones that just aren't needed so much by big time crafters, can sell for up to 20cpu, depending on quality, and or quantity.
So on the bazaar, I think the upped the maximum price to 6000, so just keep that in mind when posting resources. If you are selling something at 30cpu, then you can put a stack of 2000 up for sale.

Squidwalker makes some very good points that left out....Quality is what you will be paid for, as well as quantity. That 180cpu hide I am gathering is for a hide that is not only in high demand but has three important stats that are over 900. If the hide was of lower quality then obviously we wouldnt be making quite so much off of it, unless it was very scarce and needed badly. Its a basic supply and demand issue that requires some experience in knowing what to look for and who needs what. I am sure Delta can sticky a link somewhere of the pricing guide posted on the Ranger boards, or you could drop in and say hello.

The highest you should sell hides (i.e. The demand is very high) is 5c per hide.

Ive seen people selling 50 hides for 1000c which is crazy, no Artisan could make money from those.

Incorrect and misleading. I currently have a 150000 unit order I am filling for a customer at 180 credits per unit. The current Tat wooley hide is awesome. The best way to sell your hides is to ask the customer what they wih to buy it for and work something out. No matter what you sell your hides for, they will mark the things up in the finished goods (Armor) anyways and make a killing. You set your price and stick to your guns. If they want the hides you spent your time and effort to collect, then they will pay you for it.

This is always been a topic of contention on the Ranger boards. Its not like you can just plop down a harvester and walk away for a couple days. So make sure you get what you think your time and effort are worth.
