I tend to just rarely sell anything I take in, because I use it. So, the only thing I do sell is stuffI can't get enough of. Usually just under 10 units, or leftover from another planet.

About 50-100c, I don't charge too high, since I don't offer that much. All I'm doing is working for a profit off the 20c auction cost.

I will shock you all.

I haven't sold any hides since Day 1. I give them all to people who need them in my PA. In exchange, I get clothes, weapons, and armor.

As an armorsmith on wanderhome, I'll buy hide and bone for 5cr/ea for all but wooly. Wooly seems tougher to aquire so I'll pay up to 10cr/ea for that.

Anyone with hides/bone to sell? I'm always in the market. Drop me an email or tell ingame (Oovik on Tatooine)

Greed will be your downfall. You sell hides, bones, meatfor 10C each... then expect high prices when you buy stuff. I personally trade my harvested items for things I need and get a good exchange rate but if I were selling them I would do 1C each at the very most. (Face it you can harvest this stuff quite quickly)

You contribute to inflation expect to reap the high price of what you buy.... and don't whine about it. The greedy ones are the ones that complain how high the prices are on everyone elses stuff, when you contributed to the high price.

It appears I may be charging either too much, or offering too many things at once. Seeing as the bazaar will not allow me to place anymore items up for sale. Heh...

Kind of sucks, though I now know better than to just forage a lot and sell it. Anyone looking for fishing bait? Check on Coreilla's bazaars, I've put quite a bit up. :-)

The going rate on server Flurry, planet Naboo, cities Theed & Keren;variesbetween 5 -10c/unit itemand I have seen them sold in lots of 100s. I haven't sold any that I have collected because I have been just dumping them on my PA people as they needed it. But now my guild folksare charging $ for all that they craft, create& harvest albeit with discounts to members so I have started looking into pricing options.

The OQ grade would have been cool to base things on, but it seems the devs had other ideas for actual quality versus overall quality since the numbers really have nobearings or consistency from item to item.So we areleft with the flat rate per item.I'm leaning towards trying to maintain the10c per item by all scouts. Wooly is definetly rare and ought to be higher, maybe 20c per item.

To DeckNar: While trading and bartering are great for people who can directly exchange items, most people can't orwon't and thus we have a bazaar/marketplace to facilitate that.I have tried to shout out offers for trade or even sale,as someone mentioned above and people would either ignore me or moan that it was too much money or too little quantity. So I put it up for auctionin the bazaar terminaland viola, it sold for more by itself. Once a marketplace economy is in place, the "market" determines "fair" price and since that is made up of more than just scouts, (32 other professions?) you cannot say that scouts are inflating or even able to influence the market prices. To be fair, I'd say scouts only influence 1/33 of the market at most. But I'm no economic guru &that is my best guess. Don't worry about stuffbeing easy to harvest. Crafters are macro miningand using extractors that give them experience and collect raw materails while they areafk and not even home on their puters. Don't start comparing tasks as easy or hard and figuring you know what everything is worth unless you have actually done everytask out there and bought and sold every item created or crafted.

And before I forget to mention it, it is just an artificial game economy so I'm not taking it too seriously and neither should any of you. However there are weapons for 10000, armor for 25000-50000 and building structuresavailable for 50,000to 500,000 credits and I don't think you will be able to get near those items with the 1credit/item sale of your hides. With all that said, it still is yourfun time so use it as you will. I kinda of want to play with all the big toys andhope to get somesoon. I only have 250,000 hides more to go

Um, I don't charge. I work on the barter system. If I need something that an artist can give me, I prefer to trade a bunch of hide and bone for the items made. He gets exp and the materials for the items and I get what I need. If it is a medic, I canonly provide the prganic side so I usually throw a tip in there when I can, but he gets exp too from healing me. Cash comes fairly easy if you don't need a lot of it. A couple of missions keeps a scout going for a long time.

I charge 8c per hide regardless of quality. I only put stacks of 300 out and I always charge 2400 cred. I typically put about 900 to 1200 out a day.

I also donate about half of my hides to various causes. For example I like to give hide our local bartenter in Coronet (Naritus) to help her craft her food and drink. I also try and give a good amount 3-5 hundred or so to up and coming Artisans that don't have the cash flow yet to go buy as much as they need. Nothing like a little investment like that to make what could be an important friend in the future.

My typically daily income from hides and the few missions I run is about 25K. I make about 10K from 6 missions and another 15K from hides. That's not going to make me uber rich... but it's certainly enough to fund my adventures to other planets, pay for advanced training that perhaps few others have to Player Train me, keep my weapons cache stocked with whatever I need that's close to the best out there and tip well when I'm in town.

The really nice thing is the trickle of income from the bazaar... my hides usually sell within 3 or 4 hours of putting them out there... but I don't really pay attention because they always sell at some point. And I've never been in NEED of them selling quickly.

I could charge more... I could charge less... but 8c seems fair to me and I don't want to do the math to calculate based on the quality ratings. As long as people keep buying them at this rate... I'm going to keep selling them at this rate.

I use 10 cr per unit as my base price and discount or raise prices depending on OQ.

Also If any of the other stats are 800 or above like stored energy, taste, maliability, decay rate, etc I will raise the price even more.

I found a wild meat on YavinIV from the mamilian(sp?) it had over 900 in OQ, SE, and 600 in taste. I had amazing successes every time I used them for medicines. I would charge 1500-1800 per 100 for this. First, its hard to get, you try going to Yavin and getting it. Second, the customer is buying ensured success and experimentation. Third, I always sell my stuff, even if I have to wait a day its worth it. Forth, use the sellers description box, let the customer know how great your stuff is, what it should be used for, and what kind of results it should give. That alone will increase your sales.

I currently sell hides on the bazaar for an average of 7.5 credits per hide. Low qual stuff in the 5-6 range, mid qual in the 6-8 range, high qual in the 9-10 range.

By "quality" I usually look at the following stats:

overall quality

malleability

shock

toughness

Those tend to be the 4 that drive outcome in armor (from what I gather anyway).

If all 4 stats are > 900, I consider it a high quality hide, and it goes for top dollar -- 10c minimum. They're not easy to find!

Grinders/Power Levers don't usually care, so they buy the cheap stuff. A few merchants are through that now and looking to out-sell the newcomers by specializing in super high quality -- and they need my high quality hides! I have a special Satchel where I save them even, so I don't accidentally burn em up on traps/camps.

Depends where it comes from really

Items from Dantoine and Yavin are 15cr for people I know will buy (ordered), 20cr otherwise

Items from Lok are 10cr, leathery hide 15cr

Rori bones are 5-10 cr a piece, depending on the quality... not bothering with hides, as they mostly stink

Idon't hunt anywhere else for commercial sales, tho I harvets bone and hide from Tattoine when I need materials for traps and camps, etc

Might start charging 25cr for Dantoine bones, not easy to get at all

I don't see it as a fight over prices or even an argument. The forums are for communication between us all. Isee this post asacommunicationfor a better understanding onwhat is a fair & easy thing to do when it comes to pricing out hides etc.

It isn't even about trading vs. selling; I'd rathertrade with others and cut out the whole bazaar deal. The question is when you do "sell" to someone, or "sell" via the bazaar/vendor; what is a fair price? Along that line people also expressed that an easy methodology would be better than some complicated way that requires figuring out on item by item basis. I don't know if a perfect answer is out there.
