I'm at work right now and the macro is running so hopefully it will work. I tired to run it last night using the 1st row of the 2nd set of toolbar but I couldnt' get it to work. I coudldn't figure out the toolbarslot## to get it to work, I played around with it but couldn't figure it out...if anyone can tell me what I need to type to activate items in the first row of the 2nd set of toolbars I would appreciate it. Thanks

I am at work right now but with any luck my guy is camping away. I tried to get it to work last night with my camps on the first row of the 2nd set of toolbars but couldn't figure out the command to deploy them. I put my pistol on there and tried some different toolbarslot## but could never get it to work. If anyone can tell me how to get them to deploy from the 1st row of the 2nd set of toolbars that would be great. Thanks

You can do one of two things:

1) If you wish to keep your 1st set of toolbars up and you want to run the macro with the camps located in your second toolbar, all you need is to add the command " /ui action toolbarPane01 "in the first line of the macro. What this command will do is access your 2nd set of toolbars and make that set of hotkeys active.

2) Or you can just make sure that your second set of toolbars are already active by hitting ctrl+2 before you run the macro. With this method, there's no need to add any additional commands to your macro.

I thought I tried having it up but I probably pushed the wrong button or something...I'll try it again when I get home. Thanks

Wow I just finally read this and I'm glad I did. This is not only helpful for the Survival grind, but makes it so I can make combat macros using traps. YES!!. That whole /ui toolbarSlotxx thing is just what I have been trying to figure out to macrol traps.

I always use the same combination of attacks when I attack animals. /aim; /healthsho//bodyshout2;trap;trap;/warningshot. Now I can macro that. Woohoo.

I'm going to try the camping thing. As it is I make a camp, then go and do house chores while sitting there. About 30 min later, I disband, and make another camp and go back to chores. How is this different then making macors for unattended play. I'm still doing something that requires my character to sit and do nothing. It's not my fault the devs made camping boring and inactive.

Just add a command in the macro that you /shout Camp setup at (coords) for any needing resting place. This should make you go afk, AND make it look like you are actually at the keyboard, and might even get you more, faster xp if you get visitors. The devs also put in the game the whole afk thing, so obviously they realize this happens.

Anyway, a helpful macro, and knowing how to macro hotkeys is very helpful.

I wonder if you find something heavy enough to push down a key like the ctrl or alt key if that would make it think you're actually at the keyboard and not log you out like some people have described? Of course there is always going to be the morning reset which you can't avoid... this is easier for people on the west coast to deal with I suspect than for those on the east coast who are already at work or on their way by the time the server comes back up.

I love this post guys!. I ran accross it ealier yesterday. I am a marksman about to make apprentice. I have only been playing this game for a week, but I am a veteran of Evercrack so I am well versed in the whole concept of SWG, which is indeed Eq in Space. Anyway. I started Scout monday just as a side profession to get some new skills. I haven't yet been able to really work this macro yet, because of theauto log off. I turned off the AFK feature, but I am only able to get through one camp before it cuts me off. I will be working on that this weekend. I am now concentrating on scout, because I am really burned out on Marksman. I have noticed to all have come up with some changes to the macro started in this thread. Has anyone got a revised edition of this macro? I plan to tinker with it some when I get off work, but wanted to see any improved editions to it. If any of your are on Talus in Dearic on the eclipse server look me up. name is Edroe.

toolbarSlot12 refers to the first slot in the second row of your current toolbar. Remember, once you start the macro running you don't want to switch toolbars because the macro will use whatever is in the slot of the current toolbar.

I use semi-colons to separate my commands, but it appears that it isn't required. My commands work just fine with them though.

Great post on the Macro! I had no idea where to look for the commands to write one. Now, if I could only figure out how to make a macro to:

1.Put my armor on and take it off

2.Make traps

Cig,

Two things - one, quit shouting. We'll read your post no matter what size your font is.

Two - You can only fit one camp in the slot. Read the ENTIRE thread, not merely the first post. If you have more problems, come back and ask more questions and we'll be happy to help you.

You're not a CH by the way, are you?
