Gang,
I don't know if any of you are sailors, but the phrase crossing the bar denotes the passing fromone world into the next. I've been the Scout Correspondent since July of 2003. I'm one of the last two remaining Corrs who were brought into the initial program by Q. That's a LONG time.
But all good things must come to an end, and it's time for me to bow out.As we say in the Corr forums, time for me to get my ticket to Blue Glowie Island punched.
We've gotten a lot done since I started this job, and I think that it's safe to say that as I leave, our profession (which is still the best in the game) is in far better shape than when I started. And that's not because of my skill, or my brains - it's because of all of the hard work and ideas that YOU all came up with and that I was able to pass on to the Developers.
Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. I'll still be here poking around, and I'll be available to my successor in the event that he or she needs anything, or has any questions.
You guys have made my experience in SWG great, and I will always have fond memories of the conversations we've had. And, no - I've still never leveled a CH.
Thank you everyone for the opportunity to represent you to the Devs, and I look forward to seeing the great things that are going to happen with our profession and SWG in the coming years.
B
PS- Whoever takes this job over, better get a monkey making skill added to the profession, or you're never going to hear the end of it from me.

Well, I haven't been playing this game very long, but I've read teh forums since near the beginning, and I have to say goodbye as I feel that I know pretty much everyone on here already, hehe.
so... Goodbye I guess. You will still be playing the game then?

I've had thechange from parent to grandparent described to me like this, most of the good stuff but much less of the bad. I bet it will be somewhat similar for you Delta, you still get most of the respect and difference but without the responsibilities and hassles.

I'm not going anywhere. Just not going to be a blue name. I'll be a blue glowie name.

Brisc,
You are a legend, but you'll still be around, and that's a good thing.

Man, seems like every time I stop into a profession forum, I see a corr signing off. But Brisc certainly has done his duty here.
Thanks for your year and a half of hard work B- and remember- there are monkey-making opportunities everywhere!

Delta,
I have played this game off and on since August 03. And each time I came back you were still here as a scout corr giving good advice, helping new people, and being able to translate the board speech into whatever language the devs speak on a daily basis. And I tell you, the Devs did not include that speech skill in the game.
Thanks for all your hardwork, your guides that help me level my first scout, and as I am back for the third time, and on a third server (this time a more populated one), I still browse your guild to refresh all your great tips.
Thanks and Good luck.

Hey Delta,
I've been on a bit of a hiatus so I missed this when it originally came up. Just wanted to take a chance to say thank you for all the great work you've put in here. It's been an absolute adventure and I'm glad to see you won't be leaving compltely.
Thanks again.

Delta,
I'm another late well-wisher that just came back to find that you've left. Good show, man. You are the bar against which all correspondents should be measured. Thanks for all the hard work, and enjoy your retirement.
