Well i picked up the dweezil, and I have a droid. (with about 10K creds left). My HDD crashed, so the replacement was installed last night.
I'll try it out tonight, see how it works.

My alt is currently 4/3/4/4 in Scout. My experience in leveling Trapping IV has been slower than I'd like but I'm getting there (55K out of 70K). My toon is CL26 and she has been grinding out Scout as a new toon. I take missions for creatures CL25-27 and I can get the majority of the traps to stick.
I ran off some crates of phecnacine darts and I usually use those to start an attack. I also keep a supply of glow wire traps, noise makers, and bone spurs as a second trap. I'm getting 200-300 trapping XP if two traps stick.

Yeah it turns out that trapping droids don't really work at the moment because with them it goes by the CL more than skill and since they have a CL of 18 that kind of gives an idea of what CL range they'll be useful against. At least with droid CLs being bumped up to 30 with Publish 18 that'll help some but in your particular case being CL 57 I'm notsure it'll make a difference. But here's to hoping.

Hehe yeah that was me however afterwards some new information was posted saying that it wasn't working with a trapping droid, I never once saw it posted that it had been tried and didn't work still. However upon learning that it still wasn't working I went over to the DE boards and posted a message about the trapping module and I think one of the old DE corrs responded saying that it was actually because the droids CL is 18 and that even though the moduleis, in some cases, +105it still goes by the CL of the droid versus the CL of what you're trying to trap. It didn't sound like it was /buggable but it can't hurt to give it a shot anyways.

Trapping is broken. Both Scout and Ranger cor's r bugging the DEV's, the only answer u can get from a CSR is to watch the updates for a fix.

Well the rumour is droids are getting a boost to CL 30 or so in 18. We'll see then.

I hate replying to my own posts. But if anyone is actually still reading this thread, do not buy a trapping droid from any vendor that had the droid there pre pub 18. My lovely little R3 fully maxed with trapping modules, turned from a CL 18 droid to a CL 1 droid with pub 18. With no combat modules in it, it turned into a total wimp. I cant even get a trap to stick on dwarf nuna's!
Well I got to actually use him for two whole days before SOE turned him into scrap.

Did you have the droid grouped with you? If I remember correctly I read over on the DE board that will cause the droid's CL to drop down to 1.

Uh-huh. More testing by OTHER players, of course not you personally - because then you'd have to drop 70 combat levels to get a trap to stick. Then you might have the tiniest clue as to why people feel a bit annoyed over this.

I've just been saying that because of the fact that I see both sides and also for further informative purposes for all parties involved that I think there needs to be more testing by the players.
