Don't know about anyone else, but One-handed brawler skills works just fine for me. Brawling skills are pretty powerful in combat.

Well i can tell you right now, trying to use my Dx2 against a NS elder is like trying to kill a tank with a water gun.........if i was able to hit it for a couple of years, i'm sure it'd rust to death or something..........

Um... Hakai... elders have 100% resists to Acid and heavy armor. Of course using your DX2 is like using a water gun. Your best bet is a DE-10. But, still AP1 vs. AR3 is going to hurt you, big time. In the case of a NS ElderMRM and aT-21 is your best bet with a Master Swordsman and a Powerhammer tanking for you.

LOL.....

you have to think, the ONLY ap weapons that stock Master pistoleers can use with armor piercing is the Dx2, and the Republic blaster (which hasenergy, and energy is the MOST protected against damage type in the game).

and to be honest, not all republic blasters have AP1 to begin with......

also....for the DE-10 there is no way in piddling hootnanny that i'll be able to take on the Deathwatch...a lot of us pistoleers were quite furious with this decision to put our weapon in that place.......that is akin to locking your only car key inside the car for safekeeping........i mean, it's there and all, but you have to get at least another person to help you get it out no matter how you want to do it..........

In the case of taking on a NSE you're better off with the Republic Blaster since NSEs have low resists to energy and 100% resists to acid.

As for the DE-10 and the DWB you're going to need a large group of Elite Masters to get anywhere in that place no matter what your template is. Its a group thing. But, AFAIK DE-10s don't drop as loot (at least nothing all that great does) its the schematic that drops. Heck most MP/MBHs with DE-10s I know have never set foot in the DWB. They just paid a lot of money for it off the trade forum or from a WS.

Even still, an uber DE-10 (AP1 vs AR3) won't help you all that much if you're thinking of soloing an Elder. Nightsisters are not to be triffled with, espcially Elders and espcially since they fixed thier force powers.

Lol, they have the lowest damage output of all the melee professions I think, and just the brawler levels of something are really not good compared to that of a specialized melee profession.

Horned,

Sniper shot is just for PvP - I would really suggest taking a look at Flushing and Flurry shot - those are both pretty powerful. Head shot 3 is also useful, but flushing and flurry are much tougher, especially if you're PvEing.

Ok... I've gone against the grain a bit I use polearms/vibro axe in the Brawler tree. I will be novice pikeman soon. For me it was a choice based on fun, I didn't enjoy using a pistol or rifle, I want to get right in the creatures face! I do have to be careful about being swarmed and Stim B's are my best friend. I guess the answer is - What ever you works for you!

Cheers & happy hunting

Oh, I am scout 2-3-4-1 BTW, hoping to go Novice BE eventually.
