Oops! You are right, I was getting confused in the purple names! My apologies to 1963explorer as well lol. He was the one who mentioned the trapping weirdness.

UPDATE (6.1.05):

  • If you do not have maskscent on grey mobs will ignore you. If you do have maskscent on and a grey mob breaks the maskscent it will instantly attack you.


  • Pre-CU the creature-to-hit bonus was granted while using the default attack. Now that there is no longer a default attack it is believed that this bonus is no longer given.


I added these to the list above.

Any update on the camping bug? It's REALLY annoying that I can't camp.

"Nothing in the area to forage" is the message you get after you have foraged successfully 3 or 4 times from a 10-15m radius.

If /forage is on a percentage scale, with +100 to foraging I still fail to forage, and yes I do know the difference between failure and "nothing in the area to forage."



Before the CU, /maskscent would only be broken after a successful check. Now, when a successful check is made, you are attacked by that creature in the same "move."

On the issue of harvester droids:


Right now Kashyyykian wooly hide is exceptional now on Ahazi: 900+ on both OQ and SR, so my PA armorsmith is drooling like a doc pre-cu over trifecta avian.


So I've graciously offered to harvest 10k of Kash wooly a day for him.


I go in to the Etyyy grounds, start killing banthas. I'm 4/0/4/0 scout with the FS scout line, so I harvest at near master scout levels. With veghash, I get about150 units of hide per bantha. So I figure the harv droid will do better.


The answer to that is NO. The harvesting droid apparently EATS the hide completely. No harvest at all in my inventory when I ask the droid to harvest. I attempt to harvest from the corpse and I don't get an option on the radial menu, nore does /harvest hide increment my stack. The resource is harvested and poofs. The droid does not have its own storage compartment, I've been using it for about a year, it's never behaved like this before the CU.


I don't know if this is an Etyyy only problem, a Kashyyyk problem, or a game wide problem, haven't experimentally harvested anything to confirm, but the droid is staying in the datapad while I'm in the Etyyy for sure.

It has already been mentioned but it seems to me that it's getting worse. Mask Scent, Mask Scent and then there is Mask Scent. I have +156 Mod Skill points in Mask Scent. Went and tried to place some harvesters on Dathomir and Yavin IV, the second that any 'Aggressive Creature" spawns, I'm incapaciated. Can't even get away, I'm on my swoop and still get knocked of as I'm escaping!!!! What is going on? I had to clone 3 times to get the harvesters up in as fast a time as I could. They were all loaded with power and credits so I wouldn't waste time ones they were inplace. I went back twice since they were placed, to get the resources out of the hoppers and the same thing happened. Talk about frustrations. I reported it as a bug twice and now opened a CSR ticket. I guess they want us to hire a group of combatants that can fight them off long enough to get the harvesters set up, and then again to take them down.

Btw, the Mask Scent was working fine before CU.

I'm also Master Pistoleer, took it for protection....what a laugh, a level 56 against 80 plus, yeah, sure.

I asked them about it on the BE board. There are two things I can help lamm push for:

- deleting the Scout req
- changing it to a more efficient 4000 scout req

The problem lamm is pointing out is that both changes make for an ultimate "base buster" template.




Easy change to fix that might be (sorry for carrying on this off scout topic) to make the DNA bit of bases request 0040 BE.

Actually on the list of bugged traps, the wire mesh and glow wire traps actually do raise the damage I do, not by a lot, only about 5 points for the wire mesh and 6 points for the glow wire, using melee attacks anyways, but they are working.

Yep I had the increase in damage like what you have posted above, I turned on verbose combat messages as well. I didn't have the Glow-Wire initially because I was just recording the novice scout traps but I went back and grabbed some more missions for CL 17 Humbabas to test the Glow-Wire on so I could record the data, but here's a repost of my data from a thread on the ranger forum with the Glow-Wire data added in...


"Ok just did some quick testing using Wire Mesh and Lecepanine Dart traps. CL 18 character attacking CL 17 Humbabas on Talus with using a 107.58 base/140.63 mod damage Vibro Knuckler.


Lunge - 283 damage, 3 pts resist, 280 damage actually hits
Lunge w/Wire Mesh - 287 damage, 3 pts resist, 284 damage actually hits
Lunge w/Lecepanine Dart - 293 damage, 3 pts resist, 290 damage actually hits
Lunge w/Glow-Wire Trap - 289 damage, 3 pts resist, 286 damage actually hits
Lunge Damage Bonus from Wire Mesh +4, Damage Bonus from Lecepanine Dart +10, Damage Bonus from Glow-Wire Trap +6

Both the Wire Mesh and Lecepanine traps use the same resources and are both granted at novice scout and unless I'm mistaken Lecepanine Dart works with ranged attacks too. Just felt like doing some testing on these 2 traps and figured I'd post the results. Oh yeah, also the Lecepanine Dart will stack with either the Wire Mesh or the Glow-Wire trap but all 3 won't stack together, which I didn't think it would but I figured why not test that too hehe."

I've tried to fish on Kashyyyk in a couple of places... Dead Forest and the Etyyy Hunting Grounds.


What I get when I try is nothing. Line goes out, bobber bobs in the water, but no fish density. No vegetation meter. No fishing events at all, no options to "tug left, tug right," etc.


Did I just hit a bad spot? Or is it actually not possible to fish on Kashyyyk?
