A question about this...

So far, on the starter and medium planets (I've never been to Endor, Dantooine or Dathomir) I've yet to find a single animal that I can't kill solo as long as it meets one requirement: Its not in a social group.

Granted, I've never met Krayts yet (or any 'uber' mobs, really)

I'm a novice ranger and a master marksman with a **edit** fine FWG5...

Is it just me, or is kiting things by just using healthshot2 and P.darts a little too easy? Again, I repeat.. High level mobs, but not super high.. I don't know how well traps hit the high levels..

Granted, it takes a while to kill the bigger things... but I seriously never even pay attention to the con level anymore if its an animal and if I know that its not social. P.dart, healthshot2 and 1, start firing (to save on HAM, no specials).. time the next trap well.. repeat.. Huge trap xp, huge pistol xp, huge scout xp..

I don't get it.. Are we the super class?

now that I'm a pistoleer medic creature handler but still working towards master Scout I would say the toughest creature I soloed, without faction pets, without pets and without friends would be one of those Golum looking creatures on Endor (i can't remember thier names) they are argo and mean as a mother defending her children from strangers.

with my pet I was able to take down a baby kimo on Lok, thank goodness for stim C's that do 800-1200 HaM heals at once. only once did the baby who I drew verey far away from the spawn site hit me and instantly incapped me.

Hmm, well I have taken out a Bull Ronto. Im novice ranger now, but I dont think I used any ranger traps. I LOVE the P. dart trap. It's my best friend, oh and novice medic with a bunch of kick a$$ stimpack B's.

I usea non-sliced Scout Blaster and all these kills came after the last big patch, so no KD/Posture Change spamming and no creatures stuck in the wall. I like to health shot the creature to lead in my attack (after I maskscent and go prone) and I can usually body shot 2 and drain 3/4 its HAM before it even detects me and rushes me. Right before it rushes me I do supression fire on it and follow it up with more body shot 2s. If the creature is really beyond my abilities or its not as taken down in health as I would like it or it brings a couple of friends with it I'll use an adhesive mesh trap to root it, and glow juice wire trap to open it up to ranged attacks.

Took out a Bull Ronto yesterday.

I was soloing the mantigrue screechers on Endor for their hide, using the skills granted in Novice Pistoleer and Master Scout, and some common sense. They're CL55, but they don't death blow, which is helpful, because one wrong move means you're wearing 400+ points of damage a hit.

Woot! I just solo'ed my first red con! Three of them actually. Humbabas on Corellia. I started with a mindshot1 from my laser rifle and then used a combination of p-darts to slow them downand headshot2 to waste their mind pools. Got incapped twice. Both times the beasts died from mind bleeds while I was down, but they were close enough for me to still get credit. The third time I was still up.

Do humbabas con red for people with better skills and weapons than I have?
