Although prety good news in general, is there any way this bonus can be tied to harvest mod or perhaps players are given certain % boosts if they have a master ranger or scout ing group?
Possible Solutions:
Ranger Help:
Rangers should be the only ones who can increase the harvesting of group members. You have:
Novice Ranger: 5% group harvest increase
Tracking 4: 5% group harvest increase (10% overall)
Master Ranger: 10% group harvest increase (20% overall)
Or
Harvesting Mods:
Use harvest mods or skill boxes to determine harvest increase.
Scout Hunting 4: 5% (5% overall)
Master Scout: 5% (10% overall)
Ranger Tracking 4: 5% (15% overall)
Master Ranger: 10% (25% overall)
Is there any way to change/add these changes? Without taking harvesting mods or harvesting boxes into account it plays far too much into the hands of the stackers for my liking.
Rangers should be the ones providing the group harvest bonus, not random guy, They are the masters of organic collection therefore if grouped with one you should get a % bonus as the ranger helps you, shows you how to perfect your cuts and overall boosts your havesting capabilities.
Hmm, that would be good. However, at least all the changes will still scale with the current bonus levels. Rangers will benifit more than Scouts, but not as much as most of us think they should.

* There will no longer be a penalty to harvesting while in a group. Instead, there will now be a 20% harvesting bonus if you are in a group and at least one group member is within 64m of you when you harvest. If there is a Ranger present in your group and is within 64m of you, the group harvesting bonus will be 30% for you when you harvest. If there is a Master Ranger present in your group and is within 64m of you, the group harvesting bonus will be 40%.
Personally, I'd like to see the "any group" numbers lowered, but...

yeah, so would I.
Still they did take the feelings of the rangers into consideration and a 10% and a 20% increase in harvest just to be near a ranger in your group is pretty awesome. Plus they did not allow for people to harvest to far away - so no ranger-o-bots will be created. the bonus to harvest with a group while not ideal is still better then the negatives and it does encourage grouping...
what I would prefer to see is this though
10% for group
20% master scout
30% ranger
40% master ranger

I don't think so. A while ago i was still selling avian meat for 100-200CPU and when i auctioned it off here it was gone in an hour at most. Now i have an auction stuck at 100CPU for 7K of meat.
Nice one to ruin another profession. My BH prof is already wrecked and now Scout is too.

The truth is, the vast majority of those things are being bought up by the Jedi for use in making better sabers. A lot of the rest is going into uber wooly hide for composite armor. And some is ending up in Doc buffs.
But the truth of the matter is, 30k of any of those resources is going to last about a week. Then they'll be back to buying your stuff. There's only a limited number of those things in the game, so they'll find their way out eventually.
