Go hug a tree hippy scout.

lol. j/k.

Hippy, I'm no pacifist! I just believe in the "Rule of Law" and not "mercenary justice".

Besides, I have to agree with GL on one thing, I can't believe people like Boba Fett so much....

Actually, I abandoned the BH profession because of the Fett fanbois. I mean, we needed our missions debugged and these idiots were screaming about everyone getting Mando armor. -.-

And my vote is currently on the melee professions due to the better defenses, including melee damage mitigation.

Why is every BH in this game a Fett wannabe? I personally could never understand the appeal of this character either. I like BH because its a ranged class with a lot of versitility and exclusive content. It's also one of the few professions that allow you to RP a little.

All professions allow you to RP,and the only limit is your imagination and inclination. However, that wasn't your central point. I think there are several things that draw the "uber-dewds" to Bounty Hunter. For example the ability to hunt Jedi. Where as you and I see an organic system to control the numbers of high-ranking Jedi, they just see an excuse to grief. There's more of course, but I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it....

Pick whatever combat profession you like, it doesn't matter.
Scout doesn't enhance or detract from any ranged weapon skills, so just pick what you like and go with the flow
In my opinion, BHs are one of the only things keeping the Jedi population from exploding, that and jedis aren't that fun to play from what I gather.
Besides, its fun to stick it to those hologrinders...hehehe

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever,. ever, ever, ever, ever, ever

go bh unless you're looking to hunt jedi or npc marks........I say this because bh's suck at hunting creatures when compared to any other profession out there (combat professions that is). We don't have the dps needed to take down high ham creatures, while our state changes may work well on one, we lack the defenses to survive the battle when it's "friends" show up to play. Our only advantage over jedi (pc) is our state change effects the jedi skill tree doesn't defend well against kd & dizzy combo's so any bh 3/4/x/x should be able to take on a jedi with a lot of planning and tactics.....tho any fool who rushes into battle deserves the light sabre to the face they'll get. BH is a weak pvp profession as we do lack the raw dps and have no defenses, but a majority of other classes have nice defenses to our state change attacks. As I said BH exists for 1 reason hunting humans, be it npc or jedi, it is what the class is designed for and excells at. general combat and hunting (creatures) isn't.

the best overall creature hunting profession? TKM with the unarmed toughness mods in tka you'll take very little damage from creatures. I've found that pistoleer also works well just because it's the most kite-friendly class I've found. Plus if you go pistoleer/smuggler than you've got a nice ranged kd that will put most creatures out for a moment. however pistols don't do much damage when compared to rifles or even carbines.

If you're not interested in BH, then mastering marksman realy isn't needed, as you'll find those extra skill points very helpfull later.

good luck with whatever you choose.
