And this leads me to another question:

If weapons don't need to be insured because they take usage damage, why does armor?

You guys don't want to know how much I've spent on armor since the decay started.

TMB is the largest guild on Bloodfin. We PvP a lot.

It's just sickening.

Phooey on y'all. Armor is for sissies, wimps and little screaming girls.

RealScouts/Rangers don't wear armor. RealScouts/Rangers don't have time to bleed.

Comp armor makes you look like an anteater, or a beetle. Padded, OMG what a freaking helm that is, totally unacceptable.

Toss the armor. You save money, encumberance and you can look stylish as you step on Imps/Rebels like they were bugs.

If y'all had real combat skills and tactical senseyou would not need armor.

Besides, armor makes me all sweaty and smells bad after a few days.

(for the satire impaired, this was tongue in cheek, but I don't wear armor anymore for real)

In reply to original insure every time die, also every time you new clone.

It does the 1% decay though whatever.

But then I dont agree with the rasps thoery.

Its slugs.....slugs are vicious! they slime everywhere and when you step on them they shoot acid stuff that looks like guts at you.

Slugs are evil and are hatching a plan to take over the world.

Rise against the slugs!

I feel your pain, Delta. You're a meleer, right? I used to use Ubese but I have the single worst luck in the galaxy on repairs. I can't even count how many Ubese jackets I've destroyed, and I can wear one out in a couple of days. I switched to composite chest plates just so I can keep 'em around a little longer...

Aye. I stopped wearing armor simply because it was cost prohibitive, though I still wear a helmet to protect my mind pool.

Not being a hologrinder, and having two accounts, I was very happy to sell my four holocrons for a a million credits each.

I'm almost out of money again though - down to 500k. That'll last about an afternoon on Bloodfin, though.

Quit with the whining about armor already. Y'all sound like a bunch of sniveling Bounty Hunters.... wah wah, I soiled my armor.

Real men (directors note, puff out chest here) and women (directors note, cut to puffed out chests) don't wear armor, so we don't need to buy the crap. Real Scouts and Rangers know tactics, they know how to run and gun, shoot and scoot, and seldom if ever need armor.

In PvP, I know when to hold em, when to fold, and when to plain freaking run screaming like a little schoolgirl... well, ok, I seldom scream, I type too slow to do that.

If you need armor, you are doing something wrong. That is dead bang serious.

Now if you will excuse me, me, my shirt, pants, boots and blaster will now go solo large seemingly impossible critters, and live to tell the tale.

And if not, what the hey, cloning and insurance are cheaper than armor.
