Thanks for pushing this up the chain, Delta.

Both of my Test Center characters are unable to fish now (even the one who had never fished before), so I asked a few TC regulars about it. They all told me fishing had been "borked for several days," and they assumed it had been removed by the devs in advance of a redesign of it. They were very surprised to hear that it works on some, but not all, of the live servers.

Gotta love it. Just spent three hours goin all over thinking I was doing something wrong. Had never fished before and it seems I wont be today either. Aw well.

fished for 3 hours last night. didn't catch a **edit** thing. so i'm thinking "wow this is just like real life." so i go to the forums, read the guide.... wait... an interface box is supposed to pop up?!?

yeah tried fishing on Gorath/naboo and Gorath/dathomir..... same results... cast the line, no interface box, no bobber.

character had never fished before.

no word on this?

no problems here on either bloodfin or kettemoor, both tried several locations on several planets. all seems to be well on this end.

I'm glad I read this post as I was going to do a similar post.

I am also on Gorath, and I have decided to try out fishing as Fish is an ingredient for making Pet Stim-Ds. Anyways, I read up on how-to-fish, got a good pole (94%) and some bait and went to fish. Trying both the radial menu and the /fish command after equipping the fishing pole I would get the "casting" message but my character just stood there. And I did not get the fishing pop-up window.

On Eclipse fishing is broken for uhmmm quite some time now, at least on eclipse it wasn't the hotfix that broke fishing, it was broken before already :/.

Hmmm, I just started fishing for the first time last night (Valcyn server). I only had a 62% rod that a friend made me, but we were catching all kinds of fish.

Maybe if I had something to compare it to from before the last patch....

As of ten minutes ago, fishing is still inoperative for me on both Test Center and Gorath. No casting animation, no interface box, fishing pole "stuck" in fishing mode, etc. Since the publish hit Test Center there has been at least one mention of this problem on the daily Test Center Bug thread. I've also been noting it on TH's weekly roundtable threads. Hopefully, we will see some resolution on this soon, at the very latest by the time the new publish goes live.

It's sad to say, but I'm almost thankful Test Center is experiencing this problem too. If it weren't for that, we probably wouldn't see this fixed for a long, long time.

Wish I had found this thread earlier. But long story short, my daughter has been after me to take her fishing in game so I decide that Endoe is a really pretty place to do that, 2 tickets later I find that fishing doesn't work on Gorrath. Oh well. Such is life.
