What your doing friend is justifying cheating. After all, money duping is just working smarter not harder right? Sure why go out and do kill missions . . just find an exploit that makes you a cred millionare. There is a line, i think macro's cross it . . your supposed to fight, then camp . . fight, then camp . . or provide a camp for sheltering people that need it, bring a medic in to help heal.

Your right, work smarter . . there are smarter ways of getting the experience then setting up a **edit** macro. or dupping credits. Or using some lame ass attack to kill a Dark jedi.

blah, blah, blah.....are you guys through with the ethics lesson? Survival Xp is the biggest bull**edit** in the ranger line. Sure the mask scent thing was cool and they nerfed that. But even with the nerf I can still get more xp just running around Yavin or Talus than having to worry about killing crap.

Back on subject, I still cant figure out how to do this macro....someone clue me in on how to do it. I don'thave 15hrs a day to play this game and I'm not even sure I would want to with the lack of content...

No, you're trying to take be self-righteous about your own play-style. Macros were CODED into the game, they are not exploits. You're like the guy that mows his lawn with a handpushed mower getting pissed off at the guy in the big seated mower who gets done if half the time you do. Good day,

No, and you avoided all my points very aptly. Good work. Yes macro were coded into the game, whatever. I just hope your not on my server. Some of us like to enjoy a game instead of being a script kiddie.

Fairly sure that 360 would only be about 6 minutes, as well. Those are seconds, not minutes. 3600 would be an hour, assuming that those are actual seconds. Some people have stated that they think those are half-seconds, but they generally seem close enough to seconds when I time things out for making a pause.

oops hehe I meant 3600

Well as far as i know so far, i'm the only one. And people ask how? The answer is simple, i've played 16 hours a day since the start . . and i've earned every bit of my rank.

Those that are trying to exploit to become a ranger, wont learn what it is to be a ranger. And i'm suposing most of you just want to sell your account on Ebay.

Pike off i say.

For anyone claiming that macroing, even afk macroing, is an exploit.

The devs were asked several times during beta about afk macroing. Each time they said that as long as people were using the built in macro tool that it was NOT an exploit. They were, on the other hand, very concerned with any ability to use third party programs to macro and asked people that got any to work to report which ones so they could code to prevent those programs from working.

MacroingIS built into the game, and it is NOT an exploit, until and unless SOE decides it is. Even though you may not personally agree with people macroing, that is all it is, a personal opinion.

Exactly. I commend the Dev team for having the cajones to implement this feature into a game.

Ray, get over yourself man, no one cares that you were the first master ranger and you played 16 hrs a day.

Let people play the way they want to play, we all pay the same amount, no one criticizes the fact that you only use 8 hrs of each day to sleep/eat/have a real life, so don't criticize them for using a macro.

Why I love Macro Camping...

I don't enjoy spending my few playable hours sitting in a chair watching the minutes tick by. I'd rather be working on my Combat XP than doing the slow grind for Frontiering...

I'm very happy that the Dev team implemented a Macro system as it is extremely useful for maximizing your gameplay time. In my opinion, this game has learned a lot of lessons from the continued success of Ultima Online. That game has a ton of crafting and slow skill climbing, and if it wasn't for macroing, the game would not be nearly as enjoyable.

Personally, I like the asthetic effect that when I camp, I'm camping for a good 8 hours or so. That seems very realistic versus the 15 minute tent setup/teardown.

Also, I've noticed that you need to play around with your /pause times to get all of your camps to fire off... with the first level Ranger Camp, you're going to need somewhere between 4000-7000 before your camp will auto-disband.
