Aaron:Mouse, please define scout for me!!

The Scout is an explorer who is capable of locating valuable resources, moving over difficult terrain more quickly, and trapping creatures. Perhaps the most balanced and versatile of all the professions, Scouts are well suited to hit-and-run combat and long-distance treks.

However, what I was refering tois tactics used to prevent animals from charging while hunting. You are aware there is more to maskscent then just a niffty way of getting XP aren't you?

The "problem" started Aaron when you decided my post had anything to do with you.

I don't care if you use MS or not, but those that found it useful shouldn't be told to "get real" by those that never bothered to use it.

Sorry however, that you find it unfortunate that everyones entitled to an opinion. After all, isn't that why forums exist?

I must admit that when i read about scouts being able to "Trap" creatures i was thinking about setting up traps to catch animals.

Not that i think the trap-bombs scout profession get are useless, cos they are good enough, but i am really thinking about "Trapping" as the ability to set up and bait a trap to catch an animal. Would be nice tho.. Set up a trap, bait it, and set a waypoint.. move on to next++ near where you know critters spawn. Get back x hours later and find your trapped animal in the trap.

Sorry to tell you, but Maskscent at Explore 2 is pretty much worthless. At that level you only have a +5 modifier to camo. even the weakest reds will break it. I'm pretty sure I never gained one sinple xp from maskscent while at explore 2.

as soon as you get to 3 & 4 it will work, trust me.

This is just one of those threads created by someone to advance their personal agenda. The sort of short-sighted rhetoric used by sophomoric neanderthals (use the H, for crying out loud, or just spell it "neandertal" Why is it in the word? So we have to acteuro-elitist about it?) to let everyone know they are too cool for school. When something bothers you, and you personally decide that it is destroying your entire existance, I look forward to how many people tell you "Why are you bitching about X, I never personally tried to use X, so it is obviously not important. Sheesh you are soo lame. Now Wire-Mesh Traps, now THAT'S something we need to discuss!"

So on and so forth. These forums are based on mistrust, misrepresentation, fear, stress, and malicious xenogenetic buglike behavior. Twitching and spasming like insects just before they get their heads ripped off.

My only suggestion:

Compassion, levity, understanding, sympathy. Knowledge, patience, virtuousness, feeling, honest to **edit**ing god humanity. All these things. Try to use them in your daily life. An occasional potshot is funny, but don't let the karma back up. Recent studies show that people who are hostile live shortened lives with as much as 7X the chance of heart disease and vastly increased danger of terminal illness when in the presence of such.
