Thread: From Novice to Master How to Become a Master Scout (Game Guide Version 2.)
I noticed you didn't exactly bring up one Maskscent tip...
If you're attacking a red, go prone, hit /maskscent then when you fire, you'll get Scouting experience as he notices you. Been slowly using it more often now that I can take down reds. Works well, about 100 scouting Xp per use....well, for Big Grubbars. ![]()
Dyrwen,
That's a good tip. I'll put it in the next guide (with credit, of course). ![]()

As a new scout I would like to say thanks for taking the time to make this guide.
Life,
As an old Scout, I would like to say thanks for reading it.

Greatguide delta, that is by far the best guide for a scout I have read hands down. Very detailed. As a casual gamer, I just made master scout last night *yehh me*. And I have had a wonderful journey getting to that point with very little grind at all. I used many of your same techniques so they do work. I can't wait until you write up a guide for master ranger.
Manterion,
Thanks for comments. They mean a lot to me.
Congratulations on making Master Scout! Get ready for some serious camping. ![]()

This thing is great. It takes my scout 30 minutes to hit the XP cap when camping by himself in a basic camp though.
Just wanted to thank you for the great guide.
How about some of the scouts on different planets getting a list of hide/bone/meat values? Some small critters have a reasonable level eg vrelts 702. Although I'm not quite ready yet to take on the big beasties. I'd be happy to help out if you thought it was worth it. It might help with selling or those climbing an artisan tree.

Blue,
It depends primarily on your trapping expertise, and to a lesser extent on the trap and the creature you are hunting. The further up the scout tree you are, the more likely your traps will hit for XP and effects on every creature, not just the lower level ones.

Blue, just keep practicing with the traps, just remember that you have to be within range (i think about 50 m or so for the throw to work).
anyone know if the quality of a trap increases/decreases your success rate? I tend to use whatever materials I have most of for traps and camps, and not necessarily the best. Sometimes it seems a batch of traps wont work that well.. perhaps quality is the issue, or just a coincidence?
