Is there anyway of combining like items? I have piles of 30-60 hides and I would like to put them all up in one auction.

Or can you put multiple items in an auction together?

Also, why do some of you suggest that the highest you should charge for bone/hides is 5c, when armor crafters are charging 4-6 times that for Bone armor? Biceps 2000c? 70 bone/hide and they are selling it for 2000 on the bazaar. At 5c each, that's 350c to make those biceps.

That last message should say "would they listen?".

"The lowest I've ever sold Avian bones for is 5 credits. I put up a lot of 500 Avian Bones(quality 741) for 5000 credits yesterday and it sold less than 15 minutes later."

Yeah, I sold some small quantites yesterday for 10cp each. It took less than 10 minutes to sell them. This morning, right before logging, I placed another 100 hides up, and I'll be surprised if they don't sell.

Someone mentioned the prices for armor that are charged on the Bazaar, but here's the way I think of it. How much do Scouts spend to get Bone and Hide, save for the cost of advancing a skill once in a great while (except for those power grinders who master scout in 4 hrs.)? Then think of how much the scouts sell it for at Bazaar to make a profit, then think of the Artisan who has to pay that much for it, then has to make the armor, spending time to craft it, let's not also forget failures to create items, so I'd say evena 300% increase in the material cost seems like it's a good price. Maybe I'm just a flake and people will flame me for saying, this, but maybe some will agree.

It takes me a while to gather up enough hides and bones to sell on the bazaar. Granted i haven't been going all out on the collections of said items, but it still seems like it will take a while. I have absolutely no credits and the missions are not providing. I've completed a handful of missions and received no reward for them. *SIGH* That just means i'll need to take up selling hides and bones on the bazaar. I've been talking to artisans and the like. Most of them are under the immpression that hides and bones should be quite inexpensive, but I find them valuable as well. They create camps and traps which I use all the time, so i find it difficult to part with them. I tried recently to sell some on the bazaar for 10 credits a piece in batches of 10. Maybe the batches were too small; I'm not sure. 10 credits seems fair enough for me, but I'll sell whatever i can get for them. It just depends on how much the artisans want for them and how much is available. The larger the demand the more artisans will ahve to pay. Likewise, the smaller the supply the more they'll have to pay. Just keep an eye on the prices at the bazaar, I suppose.

10c/bone is waaay too high in my opinion. That's why the artisans are selling the armor for so much, the scouts are gouging us on the hide and bone!!! hahahaha I think 4-5c/bone for good quality bone is more than fair (/agree with whoever suggested that)that's pretty much what I've been offering up to folks wanting to sell me bone.

Seriously though, I think the artisans in general are charging way too much for the LEVEL 1 (!) bone armor, once some more serious armor comes out of the master armorsmiths and such we'll see those prices drop considerably. I sell my armor for generally half what those folks do or trade it for stuff I want or need, if you ever need anything come find me (Chester) on Corellia (Gorath server). I'm usually floating between Tyrena and Coronet. Once the higher level armor starts hitting maybe the economics will level out a bit....

and please people, haggle with your artisans if you don't like the price!!! Wheel and deal!!!

I hope everyone is having as much fun playing as I am!

I sell mine for 15c/per +20c for my selling fee and haven't had a problem selling them in 10-15 minutes each time.

I usually sell in lots of 50-100 at a time.

I've been selling for 4-5 credits per unit, depending on the quality...I guess I'm going to crank up my prices after reading this, and see what happens.

So far as a Scout I've noticed that my hides/bones are more valuable to me then 5cds a unit. I go through a ton of traps and considering I can make 3000cds in 2 "kill the nest" missions" I wouldn't sell them for less then 10. It would take me much longer then that to harvest hides/bones to sell on the open market. I guess things might change when I'm getting more units a kill but until then making a measy 500cds for 100units isn't worth it.

I think you should sell your armor for whatever price you can get. I would never tell an artisan what he should charge for his goods. If I don't think the price is fair then I won't buy it. If it's reasonable to me then I will buy.

I think the point that was made earlier was that many artisans are trying to put a cap on how much scouts should charge for their goods. I, personally, charge what the market will bear. For now, in my area that's 10 credits per bone so there's no way I'm going to sell for 3 credits.

This is a nice thread !

We need input from other disciplines that use our resources !

We must be very careful on what we charge otherwise everyone will be a novice scout harvesting resources...of course this is true for every profession! If artisans charge crazy prices I will try to be one etc etc etc...

Please continue your input regarding selling prices...and, YES, sell raw material instantly or make the auction a short one...

Are you guys selling meat for the same prices? Looks like I've been charging way too little for my hides/bones!
