I'd like to see some simple touches, like the ability to cook food on the campfires which can heal wounds.

Give food to freinds to heal
Scouts could become "Field chefs"
The problem is with the number of bufs, doc bots, and the Galaxies getting populated, there is really no need for wilderness savvy scouts. I woudl really like the idea of being able to set up a camp, leave it to go attack something like a Krayt, or other big creature, and when someone needs to get some R+R he can go back to camp

Honestly i see our profession as being more of an RP and self sufficient character, rather than one that has to have super effective skills.
having a semi permanent tent would be interesting, but like speederbikes, they'd soon litter the landscape.

I just think it would be cool to cook some of the meat, eggs and fish we find. I'm not saying we should be able to make food like chefs can with buffs, etc. Just a good hearty campfire stew or omlette to ease the battle fatigue or heal some wounds. Scouts should be self sufficient, and cooking on the fires to heal wounds or fatigue would go a way towards this. It also adds a really nice RP element to camping. If you go camping for real you know how great it is to have a nice camp stew after trudging up that bloody great hill.
Just my 2 cents.

Probably afterwards - after the Upgrade we'll see the lovin' for the non-combat-only professions.
