I agree, this should be changed and should have been changed long ago.

Not that I have ever been to the village, but I have this attraction to logic......

BTW lets not forget that the skills you get in the scouting FS line are useless. Unless they have been changed and I didnt see it. A camping and trapping bonus arent worth losing vital points over are they

The proposal makes perfect sense to me, especially since I have to maintain Explore IV and Survival IV in order to keep my MSL/MBH template. You've got my support.

I unlocked Luck a while back after dropping Novice Medic and getting Novice Artisan. I think pre-CU it took all of 15 minutes to survey and find the stuff to complete the quest. I then dropped Artisan and regained Medic.

As 100% of my Scout xp goes into Luck, it is now at 3.75 boxes. You may get one trap xp, one weapons xp, no combat xp for killing that tortun, but by golly, harvest a nuna and you get decent Scout xp. I reckon that killing a few rancor on my day off will max me out in Scout XP and I should have my 4th Luck box this week.

I do think it's dumber than hell to have Scout XP feed a line that few if any Scouts ever have. I find it humorous that the Survival line is fed by combat related XP. No, I am not wasting SP on Survival, I want to stay alive by fighting, not by using XP to get better in skills that I am already maxed in.

I don't think the Dev's did such a great job in deciding where to place what in the FS areas.

This is an understatement.

The entire FS system is so badly tilted to combat that it isn't even funny. It reflects the combat-centrism of the dev team and their total inablity to imagine Jedi as anything but killing machines.

Master Yoda would probably seriously consider going to the dark side to Force choke the lot of them.

I myself support leaving it were it is. The simple fact is (look at my sig below). I would like to have a couple of the HS skills and scout xp is the only way I will be able to aquire the xp for them.

I just recently obtained this temp and I love it so far and I have the plan to unlock the FS skills but not train them until I have enought xp banked to get everything i want at the same time. The reason being I will not have but like 3 SP when i finish this temp and I dont want to have to drop any skills until I absolutely have to.

hey, here's a silly idea --

how about making Scouting xp swapable for either Senses or Reflexes FS xp?

it's possible, as the current setup allows combat-related xp to be swapped for either Combat or Reflexes...

I'd love to be able to do that with my Scout/BE rather than taking forever to collect enough combat xp to get it with the piddly weapon skills he's got

Not silly at all.

Simply logical, as the one FS line that is directly related to scout in concept is in the reflexes tree.

But of course, this makes FAR TOO MUCH SENSE for the devs to every latch on to it...
