Thread: Scout-based Force Sensitive Skills please give your feedback
Note: To unlock the senses lines you must have either novice medic or novice artisan. Unlocking the reflexes lines has no professional requirement.

it would certainly fix up one of the loose ends that has been bugging a lot of people.
I say go for it. *grin*
Yes! Yes! Yes!
It makes total sense to me to have our experience points go into reflexes where our wilderness branch is.

Yes Or are you happy as is.
No

This makes even more sense now that scout xp comes much, much faster and we can't even use it currently as scouts/rangers, to trade to anyFS skills.

a little bit of dev's advocate:the reasoning behind Sense XP being the "catchall" (and thus what scouting XP turns into), is so that players will have a better chance at having a template that provides them with options in choosing FS trees...someone with only combat and scouting skillscan choosefrom Senses, Reflexes, or Combat, as it is now... (heh, unless that combat profession is CH... then they're boned)also, they have tried to "balance" the XP flow into each of these trees... adding something to the Reflexes XP conversion without adding to Combat would knock them out of balance, making Reflexes "easier" to earn...from a numerical standpoint, they account for mass quantities of weapons and combat XP because that is the back-bone of the game... it's easy to see why it makes up two of the FS trees... for Senses, you have a lot of varying forms of XP... probably none of which play a bigger role than Scout XP (ever seen anybody Image Design their way to Luck 4?)... with scouting being a big piece of that pie, i don't think Senses could survive without it...ok, so i'm tired and it wasn't my best attempt at dev's advocate... but, here's what i think:all FS XP conversions need to be relooked at and stuck where they "make sense"... all forms of combatXP shouldtowards the same goal(including CH XP)... Medic XP conversion rates need adjustment, now that it is a substitute for combat XP... and many, many more changes...as for what you can do... i wouldn't have both Scout XP and Trapping XP convert to Reflexes... i think Scout XP should stay like it is (Senses), and Trapping XP should get a number tweak and convert to Reflexes and Combat... i think it puts us in a good place... spiritually, ecumenically... grammatically...Message Edited by Kiryoku on 05-31-2005 04:40 AM
I can see that reasoning... but consider that senses does have a lot of xp going into it already. Medic, I believe ALL the artisan lines of which there are a lot, all entertainer xp, and CH xp, as well as some others. I think what really gets people though it the professional pre-reqs. Two of the lines require Novice Artisan, one of them requires novice medic, and one of them requires master medic. Really the only Scout-based profession that would naturally take one of these professions is Bio-Engineer.
I do see your point though. If a Scout does desire any of the Senses line it would be very hard to get them without picking up an elite crafting or medical profession in order to get the large amounts of xp needed for conversion.
By the way for anyone who is wondering - this question was not solicited by anyone. Its totally my own curiosity. If the majority of you reply that yes, you would like this I will bring it up on the Corr forum. No guarantee that they will actually change it though.

When the initial changes came out to the FS system i asked if we could have our trapping and scout count towards our reflex but it never happened and to be honest i cant see it happening in the future im afraid.
The devs are probly too busy thinking of a way to hand out tracking and camps to everyone oh and probly about the next jedi revamp.
I totally agree!
