I was fortunate I got all but the 4th box putting up camps during guild hunts.
I did grind the 4th box though.

I have a couple uber-newb Scout Questions
How do you find the Fish Density and the Vegetation?

You get bait two ways. One is to use the /forage command. Its one of the 5 or 6 things you can forage. The other way is when you fillet the fish you get chum bait. From our best experience no bait is any better then any other. In other words chum bait works just as well as worm/insect bait you forage.
To learn density and vegitation for an area just pull out the old rod and try to fish. It will pull up a screen and you will see it represented by a number of stars. Perfect is 5 density 0 vegetation. The higher the vegetation the more your bait will get caught in it. The higher the density the more often you will catch a fish.

This worked great. First great spot I found was under the waterfall at Keren, Naboo. Next was in the city pool in Coronet, Corellia. After filleting a few fish I sold three jars of 5 use chum on the bazaar for 3k apiece

Or when you fillet the fish you get chum bait. And no there isnt a differnce in results with different baits.

Sometimes. Depends on the location. I had a great deal of success fishing last night on Dantooine while camping right on the water. I was able to craft a bit while fishing, too, which helps those anxious seconds go by while awaiting a nibble.

Well lets see there are four pages of replies all saying how good a post this was. Theres posts on building hunting lodges some of us to do it so we have a place to fish from.
There is a small quiet group on the forums who are scouts and rangers because we choose to be. People who have a lot of time and effort invested in these professions. People who arent here for the flavor of the month money maker.
