There's some oasis on Tatooine that you should be able to fish at. I have some coordinates from Stratics, but I think some of them are almost certainly wrong. -5270 2810 is the only one I've actually been to, and I can confirm that there's a decent pond there. Don't go there as an overt rebel, though, unless you're prepared for a good fight with some Imperial NPCs (players rarely grind FP there anymore because its missions are limited to cl 14). There are three other oasis on Stratics, and while I think one or more of these coordinates is wrong, it may be worth checking out if you want the full Tatooine fishing experience. 1807 -6061; 6283 -422; 6645 5453. Someone asked for fishing holes. And to help out my fellow rangers let me give you two. On dath is a 5 star no vegetation right near the dath outpost. 90 3388. On bloodfin Dath fish are OQ987 and have been for a while now. I've been out there for a few days getting it for my BE's. Also use a mullusk collection tool and create a small macro while you fish.But watch your inventory since they dont automatically stack.
90 3388 Dath 5 star no vegetation (near Dath trade outpost)
-4081 -1533 Dant is a 4 star no vegetation (closest starport imperial starport)
The dath location is on a hill so you cant powerfish unfortunatly. But with that rating you catch a lot.
BTW i had a fishing competition for my guild awhile ago. And on naboo one of my guildies got a 1.1m fish. We had it mounted for awhile.

Hey, I followed the guide, caught 4 or 5 fish, how do you get actual meat out of the fish? I filet them and all I ever get is more bait. Do I have to catch bigger fish or what?

When you fillet'd you would have gotten bait, an empty fish, and the fish in its own stack. Check your inventory for a resource container called "Fish"

Volsted, Thanks for the guide. I'm another converted fisherman.
I didn't read the whole string, but I've found a way to get out of run mode if you get stuck in it. Just go for a swim. I've been stuck twice now, and each time it's worked. no logout required...
Someone else may have already discovered this, but I didn't read all the pages on the string, so there you go...

Oh yeah since this post has been brought back (and yes i know its a sticky). Im hearing that non-scouts can fish but not fillet. Anyone else see this?
